On June 24, the customer of this matter came into the store with her mother to return a$Team Mere Icon Women's JacketWhen I first saw the jacket, right away I noticed three stains in the white lettering/logo on the front of the jacketI then proceeded to ask for the tags and her receipt so I could see the date she purchased the jacket and who her sales person wasWhen I mentioned there being stains on the jacket, she told me the stains were there when she made the purchaseI simply told her that it was impossible for there to be stains on the jacket when she first purchased it because I take all the inventory out of its plastic wrappings and examine every product myself before I hang it on the shelfI told the customer and her mother to give me a couple minutes while I take it to have my Parts Manager overlook the jacket as wellWhen I took the jacket over to my manager, Mark, our shipping and receiving associate, Nicole, was also there along with the parts associate who sold the customer this jacket, JoeAll three of them agreed that this jacket was not sold in this condition and that it was nothing that I could re-sell in the storeI then took it a step further and opened up the jacket, turned it inside out and took out the back padding that had a sweaty smell to it, indicating that the customer was wearing the jacketI also notice that the customer had cut out every tag inside the jacket, along with the tag that indicated the size of the jacketWe tried wiping off the stains with just a cloth to see if it was anartific'ial stain but the stain was in the material and wouldn't come outSo since there were three stainson the front, the armor in the jacket had a sweaty odor to it, and all the tags were cut off, I made the final decision that I wasn't going to return this jacketWhen I went back to update the customer of our decision, her mother started arguing with me about the condition of the jacket when it was first purchasedIn return stated that if there were stains on the jacket when she first purchased it, that she should have made the parts associate aware of the stains and asked far a discount on the jacket or have the jacket warranted so she could special order a brand new oneI agree that even I would never spend$on a stained jacket, and that's why I do believe the customer wore this jacket for two weeks, decided she didn't like the jacket and then tried to return it

On June 24, 2016 the customer of this matter came into the store with her mother to return a$180.00 Team Mere Icon Women's Jacket. When I first saw the jacket, right away I noticed three stains in the white lettering/logo on the front of the jacket. I then proceeded to ask for the tags and her...

receipt so I could see the date she purchased the jacket and who her sales person was. When I mentioned there being stains on the jacket, she told me the stains were there when she made the purchase. I simply told her that it was impossible for there to be stains on the jacket when she first purchased it because I take all the inventory out of its plastic wrappings and examine every product myself before I hang it on the shelf. I told the customer and her mother to give me a couple minutes while I take it to have my Parts Manager overlook the jacket as well. When I took the jacket over to my manager, Mark, our shipping and receiving associate, Nicole, was also there along with the parts associate who sold the customer this jacket, Joe. All three of them agreed that this jacket was not sold in this condition and that it was nothing that I could re-sell in the store. I then took it a step further and opened up the jacket, turned it inside out and took out the back padding that had a sweaty smell to it, indicating that the customer was wearing the jacket. I also notice that the customer had cut out every tag inside the jacket, along with the tag that indicated the size of the jacket. We tried wiping off the stains with just a cloth to see if it was anartific'ial stain but the stain was in the material and wouldn't come out. So since there were three stainson the front, the armor in the jacket had a sweaty odor to it, and all the tags were cut off, I made the final decision that I wasn't going to return this jacket. When I went back to update the customer of our decision, her mother started arguing with me about the condition of the jacket when it was first purchased. In return 1 stated that if there were stains on the jacket when she first purchased it, that she should have made the parts associate aware of the stains and asked far a discount on the jacket or have the jacket warranted so she could special order a brand new one. I agree that even I would never spend$180 on a stained jacket, and that's why I do believe the customer wore this jacket for two weeks, decided she didn't like the jacket and then tried to return it.
