Dear *** ***It is very unfortunate that Mr*** feels so greatly wronged in this situationWe would certainly like to present our side of the story and refute every one of his allegations point by pointIn regards to the amended return that Mr*** claims we failed to
file, when filing an amendment the taxpayer must sign and mail the tax to the IRS on paper themselvesWe prepared the amendment and it was Mr*** responsibility to mail it inIf he failed to do so we have no control over thatIn the auto expense was used on his corporate tax as a deduction, as it should have beenThere was no information about "mileage" in his documents that he gave us to prepare his personal taxAs far as his money being refunded or applied to the next tax yearhe pays estimated taxes each quarterWe applied the refund to the payment he was going to have to make on April 15th anyway...that is the responsible thing to do as an accountantMr*** was given ample time to review the taxes we had prepared before finalizing itIf he had a problem with applying the refund, it easily could have been changedBut he paid us our fee and signed the giving us permission to e-file after he had reviewed the taxAt the end of January we noticed that Mr*** *** hadn't filed his City of Seattle Tax and asked him to send us his income if he wanted us to prepare it for himMr*** was contacted BEFORE the deadlineWe got the information, and on the same day completed his tax for him and submitted it to the city ON the deadline of Feb 1stWe sent him the voucher to make with payment on Feb 1st and told him to mail it as soon as possibleWe submitted the tax on his behalf before he paid us, so we sent him a bill for $for our serviceHe then threatened to call the police if we contacted him againWe simply asked to be paid for the services we had already providedMr*** told us he was quitting our firm and we told him "good luck''Every correspondence with this man has been hostile and abruptWe continually tried to be helpful but finally wished him happiness in his life as he seems like an angry and miserable manWe want to be paid $for the City of Seattle tax we prepared, $for a copy of his personal tax and $for a copy of his corporate tax we provided to him; his outstanding balance being $in totalHe is very confused with thinking things are our faultHe has also called us with a very rude and angry attitude regarding payroll ...we do not even prepare his payroll: he uses another firm for thatWe will contemplate a slander suit as he is trying to ruin our reputation at every possible turn when this entire situation seems to boil down to Mr*** misunderstanding our actions and blaming us for the actions he himself has failed to performWe would also be happy to provide our copies of the numerous correspondences that would prove that Mr*** claims are entirely false
