Bob's Affordable Carpets

On 9/30/16, we had carpet installed on stairs, upstairs hallway and all bedrooms to the tune of $I chose Bob's because I had a good experience when we had our downstairs carpet installed years agoHowever, this was not the case this time
I paid to have furniture movedWhen they arrived, the look on their faces when the room wasn't completely empty was frustration, anger almostI didn't know that small things on bureau, etc had to be goneOnly furnitureI admit that my closet wasn't empty, but I planned to move it out when they got to that roomI ran out of time because we've been painting in preparation for this dayI was told by an older, gruff gentleman, "if we did that, we'd be here all day"He then said "I need to make a phone call".Then I hurried to clear out every room of anything except bed and bureauWhen they were ready to start, I reminded them that I called two days prior to tell them that I wanted to vacuum the floor when they pulled up the old carpet and paddingI was told that they clean and vacuum when they're doneI explained that I want to vacuum before new product was placedI would do itNot themI wouldn't expect them toI felt like I was in the wayA young gentleman brought in a vacuum so that he could do what I askedI then overheard the older gentleman tell him not to use it because it was for the carpetThey proceeded to lay the carpetI'm mad that I felt intimidated in my own home and didn't get to make sure floors were clean before they started
During the installation, they put footprints on our front door as they used their foot to push it open as they brought in the large rollsAnd at one point, they had the storm door propped open without asking if it was okSome people may have small children or pets who shouldn't be outsideWe have a y/o cat who is indoor and doesn't have front claws to protect himself if he got outI understand the reason for keeping it open, but usually people ask first
As they were about to Finnish, I called the office to schedule the last room to be doneThe room with the small items from all the bedroomsWhen I called, "Bob" answeredI said that I needed to schedule a time for the gentlemen to return to lay carpet in the last bedroom that I need to clean out"Is this MsWindsor? YeahThey called meYou had a lot of stuff in those rooms (said emphatically)"YesI'm sorryI didn't realize that you only wanted furniture and nothing at all elseI wasn't told when I called two days agoHis reply was "didn't you do business with us before?" I felt like I was an inconvenience from start to finishI've never been spoken to like this by anyone I ever hiredI was insulted and talked down toIs that the way they talk to customers?
The installation on the last bedroom was just fineOf course, only a bed and two pieces of furniture were in thereI made sure the room was spotless to avoid any insultsI'd like to know if anyone else had this experienceI can say that I will not be recommending them to anyoneAnd if they ask, I'll be happy to share this experience
I will say that the job itself was done wellThe carpet looks very nice and area was clean and carpets vacuumed
I feel that I was not treated as a valued customerI won't be using them or referring them in the future
