There are few things that we will point out herePlease look at our Original Contract, Change Order for the Wood that was needed and the InvoiceIn All roofing Contracts there is always an additional cost for wood replacement, Because you never know what is under the ShinglesWe make it Very
Obvious Plus It is mentioned twice that there is an additional Charge for wood, We do not try and hide but we make the Customer very aware that there always could be that additional item and we won't know until the roof is tore offSo we Made Mr*** aware of this when He signed the contractDay of installation of roof we have to replace a lot of bad wood, We notify him of what needs replaced also he is retired and was at home during this installation, And he agreed that it needed doneWe even sent out on of our guys to get a change order signed off on for that amount of money, So please look at the second *** contractWe actually had to replace ft and only charged him for So he was pretty upset about the additional charges I believe after talking to his daughter a few days laterSo with us just knowing that he was a little upset with the cost for the wood we sent our gutter crew out to replace the gutters and downspoutsWhen they arrived to the house the started working on the 2nd story gutter, Once they started taking the gutter down they at that point realized that there is a lot of rot behind the gutterWe then Contacted Mr*** to let him know that there is a lot of Rot and there was going to be additional cost with this as wellSo after some back and forth the production manager and owner of the company went out there to talk to Mr *** and His daughter to explain everythingWhen they left Everyone was understood that there was extra for the gutter and for the roofAfter another conversation with Mr *** he explained that he wasn't going to pay any more for any thingSo we at this point gave him credit back for the gutters that were not finished and wanted payment for the completed roofPlease see invoice for credit backWe have already put a lien on his property and are in the middle of going to courtAll We are asking for is to get paid for the work that we already completedWe are not asking for payment for anything we didn't doPlease let me know if there are any other questions thanks

All the work was completed at the propertyAnd we only have one phone call from *** *** and we immediately call back with an installation dateNow we did have to reschedule( scheduled for the 18th and had to install on the 19th) one day put we have been calling a different number and we left a
message letting them know about having to get rescheduled for next day So all the work is complete and satisfactorySo this claim shouldn't even existThanks

I’m very disgusted with the lack of integrity and professionalism in the way MrO’*** is handling this situation!! He has denied the fact that he admitted to me the first time we spoke about the problems with my roof, that his salesman, Dan D*** “dropped the ball.” The “roof package” was misquoted by Arrow’s employee, Dan D*** and MrO’*** agreed He indicated that he “had a talk” with him At that time I told MrO’*** that I thought it was not very professional of MrD*** also because he did not look at the entire roof, including the underside of it within the attic Had he gone up in the attic he would have seen I had a problem with the venting of the bathroom vent also I did tell MrO’*** however that I would not hold them accountable for the bathroom vent At no time did I tell him that I would pay for the soffit vents or intake vents We discussed the cost, but my response was that felt I should not be responsible for that cost due to the errors made by Arrow Roofing’s employees!! I submitted my response to him in writing, which I have documentation of.The day my roof was installed my roommate observed the roofers removing leftover shingles and was about to put them in their truck He stopped them and told them that since I had paid for them, they needed to leave them They did return the shingles My roommate also saw them take a closed box awayWas that additional parts of the package that should have been installed on my roof? The first time I brought this matter to Arrow Roofing’s attention, Wes the warranty man came out and admitted that the ridge vent was lifting due to not enough ventilation He discussed it with MrO’*** and after getting the runaround from him, told me that I would be responsible to add the additional vents necessary I was upset as you can understand and I hired a Building Inspector at the cost of $to get to the bottom of my roof problems, caused by Arrow Roofing When I spoke to Wes he also indicated that I didn’t have enough ventilation before the roof was done If that was the case then “shame on you” MrD***, because you really messed up when bidding my project You were more concerned in getting extra money out of me, by talking me into upgrading the shinglesI PAID FOR THAT UPGRADE! With the upgraded shingles, the manufacturer, Owen’s Corning advised me they recommend (9) eave or soffit vents ARROW ROOFING ONLY INSTALLED A RIDGE VENT, USING POOR WORKMANSHIP!! Bottom line how was I to know the estimate was incorrect? I trusted that Arrow Roofing had the experience to read & write estimatesAnd now they do not want to do anything to make that bogus estimate correct….instead, they have turned this into a “money issue”…..give me “the customer” only what they wrote on the estimate, regardless of the accuracy This has been handled in a very unprofessional manner with no “ethics” on the part of Arrow Roofing!! Yes, they agreed to fix ridge vent, but that is only part of the problem that THEY created!!Thank you,*** ** ***

There are mistatements in the response that paint a different picture than what really happenedI have lived in this house now years and didn't have any leaks like I have since my roof was redone by these peopleTo me, that verifies the design. They never responded to my first complaintThe man did come by looked at the roof and said "I don't know what to tell you." Then he left and I never got any more of a responseThe chimney was repaired immediately after I was told about the cracked cement capHe hasn't looked at the roof since then but makes the comment that it wasn't fixedHe is twisting the facts to prove his pointsI need to prepare a detailed point by point rebuttle of his responseI will submit under separate cover

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution is satisfactory to me

I do not accept Arrow Roofing’s resolution to this issue concerning my roof problems I appreciate the fact they are willing to fix the ridge vent which was installed using “poor workmanship,” not a manufacturer issue according to the building inspector This inspection cost me $out of pocketSince I am not claiming damage from mold, the statement that “Arrow Roofing cannot be held liable for ventilation and mold problems related to inherent defective design or building practices from improper ventilation or moisture added into attic” does not apply to the situation at hand.I am claiming Professional Responsibility/liability on behalf of Arrow Roofing for not properly bidding my roof project The salesman, Dan D*** was more concerned about selling me upgraded shingles, than including proper ventilation for my roof When Arrow Roofing bid my roof replacement I had (5) hat (intake) vents My insurance company paid for the removal and replacement of (5) hat (intake) vents When MrD*** bid my roof, he did not include replacing the hat/intake vents At the time he explained that the upgraded shingles that I paid for out of pocket would extend the life of my roof What he did not explain was that by not putting in proper intake vents it would shorten the life of my roof.At the time Arrow Roofing bid my roof project I did not know much about roofing and ventilation requirementsThe only reason I knew there was something wrong with my roof was when it was pointed out to me that the Ridge Vent was lifting The first person who inspected my roof for this problem was Wes, the inspector from Arrow Roofing He told me there was not enough ventilation, and that the ridge vent was lifting due to moisture and lack of ventilation. My concern if the ventilation is not corrected/improved is as follows: 1) Lack of proper ventilation can cause damage to the roof decking and shingles, can cause wood to rot, mold or mildew leading to poor air quality in the rest of the home as well as decreased energy efficiency2) “Most shingle manufacturers have standards of minimum acceptable ventilation conditions in their shingle warranties.” (will my shingle warranty remain valid?)3) Right now I have no insurance coverage on my roof should it leak, or any other problems arise due to the problems created my Arrow RoofingIn my opinion the lack of professionalism exhibited in the bidding process and workmanship of Arrow Roofing is unacceptable Arrow Roofing should be held responsible for their mistakes from the bidding of the job, the lack of adequate ventilation as well as the poor quality workmanship There are guidelines set for proper ventilation in the building/roofing industry which Arrow Roofing did not follow Had they bid it properly in the beginning I could have contacted my insurance company to seek additional monetary compensation for the project Since that was not done, I no longer have any recourse with my insurance company. With all the time, money, time off work, etcI have spent in trying to resolve this situation I feel that the only ethical way to resolve this matter is that Arrow Roofing install the proper ventilation, as well as repair the ridge vent as soon as possible Thank you for your time and attention to this matter!!*** ** ***

Where this story starts is that she has a manufacture warranty issue with her ridgeventsThe other issues that she has we were never contracted to doWe replaced her roof as her insurance company paid for it with two upgrades, Dimensional shingles and ridgevent installationThe other issues if
addressed when the roof was done would have been an additional charge so that is the exact reason they still would be an additional chargeI agreed to replace the ridgevents at our cost so no cost to her since that is the only issue that arose from the roof replacementI also am attaching the bottom of the contract that clearly states that Arrow Roofing cannot
be held liable for ventilation and mold problems related to inherent defective
design or building practices from improper ventilation or moisture added into
attic. Originally the plan was to do the additional items at our cost, but after a few messages back and forth and now this we do not and will not do any other work for Mrs*** other than the ridgevents that we agreed upon

This message concerns complaint ID###### against Arrow Roofing Inc Please share my response to Arrow Roofing!
As you can clearly see I sent several emails (below are the ones I have found) to Arrow Roofing trying to get the status of this work *** *** and *** *** does work at Arrow - correct? Arrow Roofing has one phone number to reach me at - if they are calling a different number then that is their internal issue All my emails and Contract always had one phone number ###-###-#### I called several times and wrote several emails (below) How much more clear could I have been?? ALL I was asking for was a date of when this work was scheduled to take place I will pay Arrow Roofing the money I owe them $for FINALLY completing the work - a simple job I ever received a call on the morning of the Aug 19th - I called on the evening of the Aug 18th to their office pointing out that they were a no show on the 18th I have never seen such a lack of customer service in my life I will NEVER contact Arrow Roofing to do anything for me ever again and I will make sure all my friends in the *** area - where I have lived for over years - who need siding, roofing, gutter, work done are aware of my experience
ALSO - yes I did receive or phone calls from Arrow Roofing on Aug 19th (afternoon), 20th as a result of this Revdex.com complaint but I chose to ignore them just as they have done me for weeks I will call them on Aug 25th and pay them their money SO to me for Arrow Roofing to say "so this claim shouldn't even exist" to is total insult Well I should have filed it much earlier

I guess I don't understand what you are rejectingWe have a guy there like I said that handles service issues he will be in touch with you if he hasn't already

Since this was written We had a discussion on the phone and Mr*** agreed to what we had previously said Also we agreed to install a tarp on his chimney today 8-and as soon as we get there he doesn't want us to tarp it he wants us to give him an estimate to make repairs to his chimney( Installing new cap and tuck pointing the chimney) So his last response doesn't make sinceAt this point I'm contemplating even doing any other work for him Clearly he understands and knows that he has other issuesAlso during that phone conversation he agreed that he had bad intake ventilation so both the issues that we pointed out he agreed that he had problemsSo I don;t know what else we can do

I am rejecting this response because:The work has been completed thank you!I hope you understand that when you tell a customer that you will be out on a specific day to make a repair and not show up that it is a major inconvenience this happened two times.I have a full time job and requested off work two times to make sure that I was home when the repair was going to be made only to have no work crew show up!I want other potential customers to know that I take my time very seriously and I expect when I contact with a company and they call to schedule a time and day that they show up your company did not

We do admit that it did take longer than expected, that was due to the very bad weather that we hadWe have called MrDavis and left voicemails with only return callsA majority of the conflicts easily could have been resolved if he would have called back in to the officeWe already mailed
him back his check and no longer wish to do business with MrDavis

I guess I don't understand the rejectionIs she rejecting letting us fix the ridgevents? As far as I am concerned at this point, We did everything that we were contractually obligated to do on the roofWe also did upgrades like the shingles and the Ridgevents(Exhaust)Also the Hat vents are not intake vents they are exhaust vents as well, so her entire claim doesn't make sense At this point we do have a warranty problem with the ridgevents which we will address as soon as we get better weatherAs far as her paying an inspector she decided to do that we can't be held liable to reimburse her for thatAnd she even agreed that the additional items like soffit vents, intake vents and bath exhaust vents would be an additional cost she agreed that she would pay additional to have them completedWe did not charge her to do these items so they would still be additional chargeWe at this time, after the way she handled this entire situation elect not do any other work for her other than work th at is covered under our warrantySo we will replace ridgevents and that is all that we will doThanks please let me know if we need to do anything further

Please look at the high lighted part of the original contractAnd I attached photos of the wood replacementThe contract states that wood replacement is an additional costIt has a monetary value attached so you know what the charges areWe had to replace over the footage we actually charged for, Mr*** signed a change order for the wood replacementWhich we don't require it on alot of our projects because it is in our contract as an additional itemBut after we realized that Mr*** and his daughter was upset about that charge and it is very likely we are not going to get paid for the work we had him sign off on it, Which he didSo knew that they are upset about the charges for the wood replacement for the roof, We send our gutter guys out to the property and they start dismantling the gutters and see that there is going to be a lot of work that needs done, so before we just do it and make Mr*** aware of the charges we let them know there is going to be additional costs and let them make a determination on what they want to doTo make this long story shortContractually they are obligated to pay for the wood that needs repaired on roof per the footage amount, There is no getting other estimates, there is no hold on let me make a decision on this, It needed to be done for a warranty to be in tact plus per building standardsThe house is in very bad shape and is very old so everyone knowing this plus our estimator explaining that there is always the possibility of wood repairs being needed. All we want is to get paid for the roof and they can find another contractor to do gutters because we do not want to do any further work for themWe have already filed motions to court to file lawsuits against them and the only way we will stop is if they pay the balance of the roof, at this time we won't even make them pay interest, lawyer or court feesWhat is the major issue clearly we are on opposite endsIf we were a car mechanics shop and we were contracted to replace engine and paint car and through the installation of the engine there was a lot of unforeseen issues the we let them know it was an additional cost which they said go ahead and doSo now engine replaced and works and looks greatNow on to paint, we goes to painter, painter say hey there is a lot of body work its going to be more moneyWell customer doesn't want to spend any more moneyWhy shouldn't they pay for the engine that was replacedAnd then get a credit back so you're paying for the work wasn't completedPlease let me know what we need to do hereAt this point I don't the Revdex.com is going to do anythingSo before the Revdex.com can do any mediation we will have already settled this in court. Thanks again

I am rejecting this response because: This was not the information that the lady in the office gave to me both times that I spoke with her on the phoneI find this ironic that now all of a sudden this company is no longer servicing my area but your number is still being listed as the contact
number from TnlistingI paid for and bought siding with a warranty and now that the product is failing I am left with a shoddy job and no one to repair or replace the shoddy workmanshipHow hard could it be to contact a person that is working under your umbrella?

All of the work has been completed and the Homeowner is very pleasedI think he made a mistake by filling this complaint, thinking that it wouldn't reflect badly or leave a mark against us in this form. But all work has been completed and he is Pleased with everything. Is there a way to
have this Removed or can you contact Mr*** about this before this counts as a complaint against us? We take these complaints very seriously and want to be as complaint free as Possible

We replaced Mr***'s Roof a few years agoAnd he had an Ice dam that following winter The way his house is designed he has about 10ft wide porches so during the initial estimate we made it perfectly clear that we had to install Ice and water shield on his entire porch and up the roof deck
into his heated space, That was doneThere isn't anything further we could have done in that areaIt is unfortunate that he had an Ice dam but we do and always have excluded that from our warranty due the fact that even if something is done better or installed like it should because there are other factors that contribute to the problemA LEAKY roof will leak under any rain fallWell in the years since we installed his roof I would say that it has rained over times plus having rain almost for a month straight this summer and no active water leaks but when it got very cold and the snow started to accumulate that is when he had the issue THAT is not A ROOF ISSUEThe problem is lack of ventilation and insulation and the heat for the house is making condensation in that atticWe made Mr*** very aware of what needed to happen to help to fix his issueHe also has a chimney in major need of repairs and we made him aware of that years ago and he still has not done anything to it after yearsWe have been out to his home to help and fix the problem every time that he had some issue, or called in his calls were always answered and or returned and services tech have been to his home to tell him exactly what the problem isI wouldn't give us a strike for that I would give us a pat on the back and say good job for you responsiveness and cooperationWe still and always stand behind our work but an ice dam is something that is out of our control

We were contracted with Mr*** Originally for See attached contractWe also included sheets of plywood replacement because we knew that there would be some but can't get a final tally until entire roof is stripped down to wood decking and per the contract 3-line down any additional
wood is replaced at $per sheetSo day of installation, We start tearing of the roofAt around noon our instalerl called and made us aware that every piece of wood is damaged and needs to be replacedSo Arrow protocol is as soon as something changes customer is and was notified, he was home while this project was installedI had the estimator Brian give Mr*** and call about the additional cost involved with the wood replacementPer the contract it was $per sheet additional we needed an additional sheets so that should have been $additionalWhile on the phone with Mr*** he clearly wasn't happy because of an additional cost so to help we even lowered the price from to per sheet making in additional just to help outHe then agreed on the phone that it was ok to replace the wood and he would pay the differenceAfter the installation, Called Mr to get the balance paid and then he started screaming at us, calling us all kinds of names and telling us that he is not going to pay us and wants the wood for freeAfter he hung up on us 3-times we asked him to get people that he knew and trusted to read the contract and let them know we replaced an additional sheets of wood and exactly what that would mean to himSo I attached the contract, Invoice and photos of wood replacement even though Mr*** was present and agreed of the wood replacement

Jamie with arrow roofing did not get into detail with me, *** *** or my father *** *** about the woodIf he would have explained it we would have known about the extra costThe original contract that was drawn up and given to my father laterIf you notice his signature is not on that contract: Plus Jamie called me the day that the work was being doneHe stated that there was wood that needed to be replaced and wanted me to talk to my father about the cost When a got to my father has 1/hour later worker where already pulling up the wood on roofSo my father had no choice but to get the wood or be left with holes in the roofArrow Roofing should have gotten permission, because my father might not have had that moneySo they gave him no choice about signing for the wood, evening when we complained about the cost being way too highThen when the gutter man came out he took some things down and did not put them back up and will not send someone to fix that problemBut they wanted to charge I think $more for the wood they think might be need to do the gutterThe original contract and invoice states price 7,half down 3,and 3,when job was finishedMy father did what was asked of him but they kept changing the price and wanting him to sign a rewritten contract to fit their needsTheir actions brought up concern and made my father feel like they were taking advantage of himMy father has no problem paying if the job is finishBut he will not pay $dollars for woodHe would want someone else to come out and estimate the wood cost He does not trust their estimate.Thank you for your time and consideration.*** ***/*** ***

Even though he feels Arrow roofing did not fulfill their partHe will make final payment of 4,It should arrive in mail in five business daysWe are holding them to their words about other monies mentioned aboveThis is final paymentPlease send a receipt per my email***
