   Mobile phone issue is not what this company or some of her competitors charge or claim they charge for this sort of work. The problem is bait and switch in terms of what they said they would charge and what they actually charged. Now this business owner has resorted to libeling me. I believe this business deliberately described the costs and such a manner as to miss lead me.A business hasthis has a responsibility to make sure they're out the door cost or communicated clearly when charging for such a high ticket item.  Though it is not relevant I have since received a quote to replace all the windows inside and out for less than $2000. By all I mean all the windows at the business about 10 times more than what they replaced

business for a quote to replace 14 putty windows (putty windows are the hardest to work on and thus the labor is the highest). My assistant, Kristen [redacted] took the call. Mr. [redacted] asked for the cost per piece of glass first then asked for the labor to install the 14 panes. Ms. [redacted] asked him to hold and asked me  since he was doing 14 if I would discount our normal labor charge of $125.00 per window. I lowered the cost to $97.50 per window making the total labor $1,365.00. Ms [redacted] returned to the call while I stood next to her and told Mr [redacted] the labor for the 14 windows would be "thirteen sixty five". He then agreed and she asked for a deposit. She explained to him that we could accept credit card over the phone and that we would hold it until all work was completed, upon which time we would run the card for the full amount. He agreed. We did the work and I personally called him to say thank you for the work and that since we were completed that we would run the credit charge and I emailed him the receipt. The next day is when he called yelling and saying we were lying and basically stealing his money. I tried to calm him down and reason with him but he refused. I had another employee, Carol [redacted] call 3 competitors from her cell phone anonymously and ask for them to quote the exact same work. I have attached our invoice and the 3 competitors quotes.I tried to reason with him but he became insulting telling we "I could have gotten Mexicans to do them for $5.00" I responded by asking him to please not be insulting and racist.Trying to reason with a man that is insulting and swindling is impossible and I am sorry but there is no way we would ever have spent so many hours on a job for $13.65. Mr [redacted] is 100% in the wrong as you can see by the attached competitors quotes.#1 - [redacted] charges$99.00 per window for the labor. Glass was not quoted and would be extra. (Total labor cost $1,386.00 that is $21.00 MORE than ours)#2 - [redacted] charges $165.00 for the first window and $87.50 each window there after. That totals $1,302.50 for labor plus glass $13.06 each pane Totaling $1,485.34 plus $122.54 tax totaling $1,607.88 (That is $81.90 LESS than our charge total)#3 - [redacted] charges $103.93 for labor per window AND $32.00 per pane of glass. That is $1,455.00 for labor and $448.00 for glass making the total $1,903.00 plus tax $157.00 totaling $2,060.00 (That is $370.22 MORE than us)
