Mr [redacted] had his vehicle towed in to our shopWe determined that the engine was bad & called his AUL Warranty Contract to let them know the findings & to see what was covered under his contractThe Warranty people asked us several questions about the car & one of them was when was the last oil change performed? I informed them that we had never serviced this car before & we had no record of oil change, but the oil change reminder sticker in the window stated that the car was long overdue for an oil change & there was no oil present on the dipstick upon arrivalAt that time, AUL Warranty concluded that they would not authorize any repair for Mr [redacted] 's vehicle & he would need to contact them directlyI informed Mr [redacted] of that & he was very upset that his warranty contract would not cover the repairMr [redacted] has abandoned his vehicle at our location for over weeks without contact & we had to send out Certified Letters to him & the Lien Holder of the vehicleOn 6/30/the Lien Holder came to repossess the vehicle & paid for the charges that were dueMr [redacted] 's issue is with his Warranty Contract Company (AUL Warranty), not with us

I am rejecting this response because: That is not truethe issue is what Mike [redacted] informed the Warranty company ofBut what is the differenceHe wants to sell me an engine that has 110,miles on it for which would have been the same cost from the Warranty CompanyI don't get this and I am sick of itMike [redacted] broke the protocol of getting the warranty work done and no one is going to admit thisI NEVER SIGNED anything for them to tear my engine apart, are you getting thisNO SIGNITURE was given do you understand this?

I am rejecting this response because: The original quote was stated to include everything involved in replacing spark plugs Once I arrived at the shop, I was informed that it had not included that part I also stated that spark plugs were what I thought might need to be replaced based on the code & was later informed (after the work was done) that reading codes does not in fact tell someone what needs to be fixed The diagnostic should have been offered upfront rather than after the initial work was completed Steve had said that it was not offered up front because the technician informed him that he wasn't aware that the light was on - although I explicitly told him that's why I was in the shop I was also repeatedly told not to tell anyone at my office about the poor service I received because they want my company's business and that's why the diagnostic was done for free I still feel that this transaction was shady, the people I dealt with were dishonest and I've been taken advantage of with the work that was completed

As stated by Ms***, the original quote you received for $was for spark plugs, labor & taxWhen she brought the vehicle in we gave her the option to pay the additional to have the spark plug boots replaced & that was approved before any work was doneAs far as the check
engine light goes, Ms*** stated that her boyfriend had pulled codes & told her to have the spark plugs replaced after he had already replaced a different part that had not corrected the problemShe never asked us to perform an engine diagnostic (which would cost an additional $109.95), she simply wanted us to replace the parts that her boyfriend had believed would fix the problem. After speaking with Ms*** about how unhappy she was because the check engine light was still on, we decided to pick up the car, perform the engine diagnostic at no charge, wash & return the car with the estimate of what was needed to correct the issue & she was still unhappy
