Review: Very uncommunicative. Would only accept cash even though it was an evening in a remote location and wouldn't accept payment over the phone. Next day, claimed he told us it was closed by noon, then charged more money for storage. Had to call the police to get the car back. Insisted on cash and charged tax.Desired Settlement: He made it seem like it was our fault that the car stayed the extra time. He charged storage time even though I was ready to pick the car up but they were "closed" and he claimed he told me, but didn't.

To Whom It May Concern:

Inrespouse to ID [redacted] son visiting a rehab center that was no where near where he was illegally parked at one of the property's currently monitor. It was towed to our shop at [redacted]. We received the call re the car that evening and informed the caller that it would be $189 to pick up her car. He son came to meet us around 8-9 pm and his mother wanted to make payment over the phone we had previously informed his mother that impouuds were cash only. We were then told they would pick the car up the following day. We had a driver on call the entire day the following day but they did not come to pick up there car until that evening. We .informed them that it would be an additional $50. storage the previous night when they were at our shop. Due to the fact that when he came to pick the car up the first night and dldn 't have any money there is an additional fee for storage. We explained eve.ryfuing clearly to [redacted] who was very aggressive when talking to us and when she came to pick up

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Thank you for your response, however, your reputation precedes you. In actuality, when my son tried to pick up his car on Saturday, he was told that you closed at 12:00 noon and he couldn't get his car until Monday. It was only after contacting the local police department who expressed familiarity with your tactics and then called you and told you to return the car to us, were we able to go to your place of business and wait for your workers to release the car. We paid you the storage fee without comment and had no discussion with you or your workers upon pickup. So I fail to see how that can be considered aggressive. Most importantly, your comment about my sons attendance at a meeting is entirely inappropriate and irrelevant to this matter and speaks to the kind of individual that you are. Surely, if you were a parent you should understand the difference between professional and personal matters.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: The owner of this facility failed to provide the necessary information for a customer to retrieve his car from towing. The Owner became belligerent and irate when asked the best way to obtain the vehicle out of storage. His ongoing refusal to cooperate with the tow created a situation where the customer was unable to get the car in a timely manner thus causing the overnight storage fees to be assessed another day. The car was towed while I was on vacation for a couple of days. The towing company towed the car on Wednesday after 5am, when I returned on Thursday I spent the whole day attempting to get the necessary information regarding the car. Initial there was some concern as to why the car was towed because a visitor pass was displayed. However, after some time the discussion of the visitor pass became a non- discussion because the desire was just to get the car. The owner of the towing company refuse to provide the necessary information, continuing his rude tirade of hanging up the phone and refusing to answer questions. It appears that he takes this tone in an effort to keep the vehicle longer in order to charge more storage fees. The owner is now trying to add extra days to the cost of the storage fees outside the actual cost as a penalty for all the inquires made on behalf of myself as the owner. I would like some assistance getting these funds back if I am forced to pay them on tomorrow, when I make an attempt to regain access to my VehicleDesired Settlement: I would like this owners business to be reviewed for these fraudulent practices. I would like to have the companys policy and process to be displayed so that customers will know what the practice is when a car is towed. I would like the fees associated with he same available to customers so that they can accurately calculate what there responsibilities are without getting into a verbal altercation with the owner who has great difficulty communicating. I would like an appropriate refund

Response:

The following seeks to clarify my greater concerns as it relates to the towing of my car. I made attempts to get clarity as it relates to the fees and charges of my towing.. The owner refuse to answer any questions . He went on to create a situation where the car remained longer because of his refusal to share information about the cost. That information is even noted on the receipt. On top of that fact.. The bill states a wrecking fee of $170.00. This car was not being assessed for wrecking. Why wouldn't the bill indicate a tow. Wrecking, It's not clear what that means or what is incorporated in this cost . It appears that the first day storage fee has been added in this great cost. In turn it is noted that two more storage days have been assessed. It's not clear how these fees are determined but if it is a 24 hour period then an extra $50.00 fee has been assessed .. The receipt also fails to indicate what the $18.56 fee is being assessed for. At this point it appears that the owner is taking advantage of his towing ability by holding consumers cars, refusing to disclose clear rates and then assessing fees at will because consumers are at his mercy with regards to having there property returned .. Please review the same. It is my hope to have my funds returned.
