On 2/23/2020, this business trimmed a tree at my neighbors house and a branch fell and damaged our fence. We are certain that the top rail is broken and there may be a picket or something else that was also damaged. I saw this happen and the business never came to inform me of the damage they caused.So I walked around and took some photos and talked to the owner, Bobby, and two of his employees. At first, the owner Bobby was willing to repair the fence right then but wanted to use materials that did not match the existing fence. The fence was a good heavy composite vinyl and not a cheaper fence you get at *** or ***. I explained that it needed to match. He wanted to just take my top rail but I requested that he just leave it because it was going to rain. We exchanged information and had a couple email exchanges and then he stopped all communication and said I could take him to court. My last email to him I explained that I had found the correct rail for him so he did not have to shop around. I told him he could pick up the rail and install it or I could have the company that installed the fence repair it but their minimum is $500.00. I have not heard back from Bobby. This company is called Bobby's Tree Service, however, their truck stated ***. One of the employees informed me they would be changing their company name soon.
I offered to repair the fence on the spot. He demanded that his fence company to give an estimate. Before the company was even contacted, he left negative reviews on another platform. I am still willing to go out and fix the fence with the existing piece.
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
-it may require additional parts which we don't know yet.
-the fence company who put it in, has a minimum of $500 to come out.
-if Bobby will come out and fix it to our satisfaction, using parts from the original fence company (this contact information has been provided to him previously), then we will be satisfied.
-I want to be able to look at the fence with Bobby so that we can verify what is broken and needs replacing.
