Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because, it is not accurate
As Cory B***, the President, pointed out on the contract, Section 4- the equipment was selected solely by you and not based on any recommendation by BBS As their website states:
http://www.bobcatofbigsky.com/rentals_intro.htm
Refer to # Let our knowledgeable staff help you decide which machine or attachment is right for you and the job you are doing.
We did ask the staff if we should get a rock bit and were told, "no this auger will work just fine" Very misleading advertising
Also, we were issued previously repaired equipment that the contract states, Section 4- you agree equipment is in good operating condition As users we are to be well versed on whether the bolt is of adequate strength and that prior welds and repairs done on the auger are strong enough to handle what we are using it for?
This seems to be a moneymaker for BBS We bend a repaired auger, we have to purchase a 'new replacement auger' BBS fixes the bent auger, it goes out to the next customer, they bend it, they have to purchase a 'new replacement auger' BBS fixes the bent auger, it goes out to the next customerand so on and so on
While I don't expect anything to come from this claim, hopefully, this will prevent future customers from losing money at BBS
Sincerely,*** ***

As stated in the response the equipment was misused and they broke the bit. Customers are charged for time out not time on the machine as stated in the contract. we actually should have charged them a full day but we gave them a discount and charged them a 1/2 day rate. The bit they took out was a...

new bit with new teeth on it not one that had been repaired previously. When it was returned the bit was bent which usually happens when the operators move the machine while drilling or are at a angle while applying down pressure. The bits don't just break they break when they are misused. As stated in the response(attached) the customer is responsible for repairs or replacement of all damaged equipment they have rented. The customers are unwilling to accept responsibility for damaging my equipment. If you need more information let me know.

Thank you

The equipment was not previously repaired it was brand new bit. The customer was shown the rock bits but chose not to take it because of the price increase. The customer was made aware that standard duty bits are not for solid rock and they are responsible for any damages. The customer plain and simple broke the bit and refuses to take responsibility. At Bobcat of Big Sky our employees can give the customers options for their jobs at hand but the customer ultimately has to decide which tool is best for their particular job as we are not on site to see specific conditions of each job. It is the customers responsibility to use the equipment they choose correctly to prevent damage or excessive wear. The contract they signed has all of these issued spelled out specifically.
Thank you,
Cody B[redacted]
