Bob's 66 Reviews (%countItem)

We had our 97 Sebring Chrysler Convertible serviced by this shop. We asked them to fix the popping noise in the left front end, two motor mounts (they only put one in) and the engine light was on. When I paid them, and took the car, there was only one motor mount on the receipt. They kept car 87 days. When I picked it up the engine light was still on. I asked if the car was safe to drive, they said yes. I drove the car less than 110 miles, when the left front driver side tire nearly fell off. Thankfully it fell off as I was coming out of the driveway. I took the car back. The original estimate that the mechanic signed off on (on a business card) $750-$1000. The finished job ended up being $1685.35. There was $441.19 in parts; the total was $2226.54. The receipt is not complete. There are things missing--like the inspection and the emissions. He still has the car. He's not returning calls. He gave me the muffler back, and a piece of trim.

Dear Sir/Madam

I am responding to your recent letter concerning case ***, relating to a 1997 Chrysler Sebring, belonging to ***. As per a copy of our invoice, the repairs made at our shop were for engine repairs and not for repairs to the drivers side suspension. The parts listed were supplied by our shop and all other parts were supplied by ***. *** did the necessary repairs to the engine and checked over the car, test drove and rechecked suspension and could find nothing wrong at the time of inspection.

Included are several pictures of the car which has been on our lot since June 4, 2018. On September 22, 2018 Steve came to the lot and said he was selling the care to someone or having it towed away. On Tuesday September 25,2018 Steve came in and asked *** to repair the ball joint which he declined. Later that day he called and asked me to repair the ball joint and I also declined. He then said Michele requested us to refund a portion of the repairs, which I told him we could not do since the repairs we made on his car were not related to the problem he now has with the suspension.

Please find enclosed a copy of the invoice for repairs.

Parts we supplied $189.94

Shop Labor $1,000.00

Machine Shop Labor $450.00

Sales Tax #15.41 and

2 tires brought in separate for mount and balance.
