[redacted] dropped vehicle off on weekend of 11/1/2015 for us to refinish the right quarter panel lower behind wheel. When we went to do repairs a rust hole was found. At this point I called and left Mr. [redacted] a message on the phone number he had...

left for us to call. Mr. [redacted] stopped by shop on 11/5/2015 to check on repairs I let him know we did not repair without his approval for rust repair patch. He stated that he was in Boston and did not receive message. I let him know that the rust hole was not part of the prior repair. I let him know that we could fix for discounted price. He left and came back to pick up vehicle and gave me our estimate back with what he would like to pay. I had a message to call Mr. [redacted] on this matter and did not return his call. He called back and we discussed this matter. I let know that if he went to any other shop it would be a $1000.00 + repair. I cannot in good faith do a repair the size for his counter offer of $300.00. Due to the nature of rust and corrosion we DO NOT warranty the repairs for any amount of time.Any questions please let me know.

I have attached two pictures that show the quality of work I received. Clearly my vehicle was not in 'Excellent' shape as I was told by the person from Bob's who called me during the original repairs. In viewing the pictures one can clearly see that this was not properly addressed, the left side that I paid extra for is in wonderful shape and that is what I had expected to receive for the thousands of dollars that I was spending. This was a problem when it was taken to Bob's the first go around and although they had stripped the panel down repaired the nicks and dents, applied their corrosion material and painted my truck their work lasted only a few months. Clearly they had to see that the right side was in need of the work that they put into the left side, but choose to paint over the rusted area anyway, not quality work in any way shape or form. Had this rusted through several years from now as the left side might I wouldn't be saying a thing. For all the money I have invested in this I would expect more than a few months of wear.
I called several body shops in Rochester, the part needed for the repair as estimated by Bob's is around $200, I would be willing to pay that. The labor portion would not have totally covered the extra work that needed to be completed,hence I am will to pay for two additional hours. I should not have to pay to repaint the panel a second time, had the work been properly done we wouldn't be repainting. I wouldn't in this case expect to pay the price Bob is asking, I didn't just walk in off the street, I am asking that they complete what they started.

It appears Mr. [redacted] would like Bob's Auto Body Inc. to do FREE repairs to his vehicle. At this point and time we cannot do the repairs. As I John [redacted] stated in my last statement the repairs Mr. [redacted] would like us to do were not part of what he payed for when we originally did repairs. I believe I gave [redacted] a very fair and good price for repairs needed to be done. This will be my last statement on this matter. B.B.B. has made it very clear in the letter I received that this will have a negative impact on our rating. I acknowledge this and will have to stand on my decision not to do FREE repairs.
