There are few things that we will point out here. Please look at our Original Contract, Change Order for the Wood that was needed and the Invoice. In All roofing Contracts there is always an additional cost for wood replacement, Because you never know what is under the Shingles. We make it Very...

Obvious Plus It is mentioned twice that there is an additional Charge for wood, We do not try and hide but we make the Customer very aware that there always could be that additional item and we won't know until the roof is tore off. So we Made Mr. [redacted] aware of this when He signed the contract. Day of installation of roof we have to replace a lot of bad wood, We notify him of what needs replaced also he is retired and was at home during this installation, And he agreed that it needed done. We even sent out on of our guys to get a change order signed off on for that amount of money, So please look at the second [redacted] contract. We actually had to replace 280 ft and only charged him for 220. So he was pretty upset about the additional charges I believe after talking to his daughter a few days later. So with us just knowing that he was a little upset with the cost for the wood we sent our gutter crew out to replace the gutters and downspouts. When they arrived to the house the started working on the 2nd story gutter, Once they started taking the gutter down they at that point realized that there is a lot of rot behind the gutter. We then Contacted Mr. [redacted] to let him know that there is a lot of Rot and there was going to be additional cost with this as well. So after some back and forth the production manager and owner of the company went out there to talk to Mr [redacted] and His daughter to explain everything. When they left Everyone was understood that there was extra for the gutter and for the roof. After another conversation with Mr [redacted] he explained that he wasn't going to pay any more for any thing. So we at this point gave him credit back for the gutters that were not finished and wanted payment for the completed roof. Please see invoice for credit back. We have already put a lien on his property and are in the middle of going to court. All We are asking for is to get paid for the work that we already completed. We are not asking for payment for anything we didn't do. Please let me know if there are any other questions thanks.

I do not accept Arrow Roofing’s resolution to this issue concerning my roof problems.    I appreciate the fact they are willing to fix the ridge vent which was installed using “poor workmanship,” not a manufacturer issue according to the building inspector.  This inspection cost me $150.00 out of pocket. Since I am not claiming damage from mold, the statement that “Arrow Roofing cannot be held liable for ventilation and mold problems related to inherent defective design or building practices from improper ventilation or moisture added into attic” does not apply to the situation at hand.I am claiming Professional Responsibility/liability on behalf of Arrow Roofing for not properly bidding my roof project.  The salesman, Dan D[redacted] was more concerned about selling me upgraded shingles, than including proper ventilation for my roof.  When Arrow Roofing bid my roof replacement I had (5) hat (intake) vents.  My insurance company paid for the removal and replacement of (5) hat (intake) vents.  When Mr. D[redacted] bid my roof, he did not include replacing the hat/intake vents.   At the time he explained that the upgraded shingles that I paid for out of pocket would extend the life of my roof  What he did not explain was that by not putting in proper intake vents it would shorten the life of my roof.At the time Arrow Roofing bid my roof project I did not know much about roofing and ventilation requirements. The only reason I knew there was something wrong with my roof was when it was pointed out to me that the Ridge Vent was lifting.  The first person who inspected my roof for this problem was Wes, the inspector from Arrow Roofing.  He told me there was not enough ventilation, and that the ridge vent was lifting due to moisture and lack of ventilation. My concern if the ventilation is not corrected/improved is as follows:  1) Lack of proper ventilation can cause damage to the roof decking and shingles, can cause wood to rot, mold or mildew leading to poor air quality in the rest of the home as well as decreased energy efficiency2) “Most shingle manufacturers have standards of minimum acceptable ventilation conditions in their shingle warranties.” (will my shingle warranty remain valid?)3) Right now I have no insurance coverage on my roof should it leak, or any other problems arise due to the problems created my Arrow RoofingIn my opinion the lack of professionalism exhibited in the bidding process and workmanship of Arrow Roofing is unacceptable.  Arrow Roofing should be held responsible for their mistakes from the bidding of the job, the lack of adequate ventilation as well as the poor quality workmanship.  There are guidelines set for proper ventilation in the building/roofing industry which Arrow Roofing did not follow.  Had they bid it properly  in the beginning I could have contacted my insurance company to seek additional monetary compensation for the project.  Since that was not done, I no longer have any recourse with my insurance company. With all the time, money, time off work, etc. I have spent in trying to resolve this situation I feel that the only ethical way to resolve this matter is that Arrow Roofing install the proper ventilation, as well as repair the ridge vent as soon as possible.  Thank you for your time and attention to this matter!![redacted]

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me.

Even though he feels Arrow roofing did not fulfill their part. He will make final payment of 4,290.18. It should arrive in mail in five business days. We are holding them to their words about other monies mentioned above. This is final payment. Please send a receipt per my email. [redacted]

This message concerns complaint ID###### against Arrow Roofing Inc.      Please share my response to Arrow Roofing!
As you can clearly see I sent several emails (below are the ones I have found) to Arrow Roofing trying to get the status of this work.    [redacted] and [redacted] does work at Arrow - correct?    Arrow Roofing has one phone number to reach me at - if they are calling a different number then that is their internal issue.  All my emails and Contract always had one phone number ###-###-####.   I called several times and wrote several emails (below).   How much more clear could I have been??    ALL I was asking for was a date of when this work was scheduled to take place.  I will pay Arrow Roofing the money I owe them $227.50 for FINALLY completing the work -  a simple job.    I ever received a call on the morning of the Aug 19th -  I called on the evening of the Aug 18th to their office pointing out that they were a no show on the 18th.  I have never seen such a lack of customer service in my life.   I will NEVER contact Arrow Roofing to do anything for me ever again and I will make sure all my friends in the [redacted] area - where I have lived for over 20 years - who need siding, roofing, gutter, work done are aware of my experience.
ALSO - yes I did receive 2 or 3 phone calls from Arrow Roofing on Aug 19th (afternoon),  20th as a result of this Revdex.com complaint but I chose to ignore them just as they have done me for weeks.   I will call them on Aug 25th and pay them their money.     SO to me for Arrow Roofing to say "so this claim shouldn't even exist"  to is total insult.   Well I should have filed it much earlier.

MY PHONE NUMBER IS:   ###-###-####   again   ###-###-####

We were contracted with Mr. [redacted] Originally for 5836.27 See attached contract. We also included 4 sheets of plywood replacement because we knew that there would be some but can't get a final tally until entire roof is stripped down to wood decking and per the contract 3-4 line down any additional...

wood is replaced at $40 per sheet. So day of installation, We start tearing of the roof. At around noon our instalerl called and made us aware that every piece of wood is damaged and needs to be replaced. So Arrow protocol is as soon as  something changes customer is and was notified, he was home while this project was installed. I had the estimator Brian give Mr. [redacted] and call about the additional cost involved with the wood replacement. Per the contract it was $40 per sheet additional we needed an additional 20 sheets so that should have been $800 additional. While on the phone with Mr. [redacted] he clearly wasn't happy because of an additional cost so to help we even lowered the price from 40 to 32 per sheet making in 640 additional just to help out. He then agreed on the phone that it was ok to replace the wood and he would pay the difference. After the installation, Called Mr to get the balance paid and then he started screaming at us, calling us all kinds of names and telling us that he is not going to pay us and wants the wood for free. After he hung up on us 3-4 times we asked him to get 3 people that he knew and trusted to read the contract and let them know we replaced an additional 20 sheets of wood and exactly what that would mean to him. So I attached the contract, Invoice and photos of wood replacement even though Mr. [redacted] was present and agreed of the wood replacement.

Please look at the high lighted part of the original contract. And I attached photos of the wood replacement. The contract states that wood replacement is an additional cost. It has a monetary value attached so you know what the charges are. We had to replace over the footage we actually charged for, Mr. [redacted] signed a change order for the wood replacement. Which we don't require it on alot of our projects because it is in our contract as an additional item. But after we realized that Mr. [redacted] and his daughter was upset about that charge and it is very likely we are not going to get paid for the work we had him sign off on it, Which he did. So knew that they are upset about the charges for the wood replacement for the roof, We send our gutter guys out to the property and they start dismantling the gutters and see that there is going to be a lot of work that needs done, so before we just do it and make Mr. [redacted] aware of the charges we let them know there is going to be additional costs and let them make a determination on what they want to do. To make this long story short. Contractually they are obligated to pay for the wood that needs repaired on roof per the footage amount, There is no getting other estimates, there is no hold on let me make a decision on this, It needed to be done for a warranty to be in tact plus per building standards. The house is in very bad shape and is very old so everyone knowing this plus our estimator explaining that there is always the possibility of wood repairs being needed. All we want is to get paid for the roof and they can find another contractor to do gutters because we do not want to do any further work for them. We have already filed motions to court to file lawsuits against them and the only way we will stop is if they pay the balance of the roof, at this time we won't even make them pay interest, lawyer or court fees. What is the major issue clearly we are on opposite ends. If we were a car mechanics shop and we were contracted to replace engine and paint car and through the installation of the engine there was a lot of unforeseen issues the we let them know it was an additional cost which they said go ahead and do. So now engine replaced and works and looks great. Now on to paint, we goes to painter, painter say hey there is a lot of body work its going to be more money. Well customer doesn't want to spend any more money. Why shouldn't they pay for the engine that was replaced. And then get a credit back so you're paying for the work wasn't completed. Please let me know what we need to do here. At this point I don't the Revdex.com is going to do anything. So before the Revdex.com can do any mediation we will have already settled this in court. Thanks again.

There are mistatements in the response that paint a different picture than what really happened. I have lived in this house now 24 years and didn't have any leaks like I have since my roof was redone by these people. To me, that verifies the design. They never responded to my first complaint. The man did come by looked at the roof and said "I don't know what to tell you." Then he left and I never got any more of a response. The chimney was repaired immediately after I was told about the cracked cement cap. He hasn't looked at the roof since then but makes the comment that it wasn't fixed. He is twisting the facts to prove his points. I need to prepare a detailed point by point rebuttle of his response. I will submit under separate cover.

We do admit that it did take longer than expected, that was due to the very bad weather that we had. We have called Mr. Davis and left 11 voicemails with only 2 return calls. A majority of the conflicts easily could have been resolved if he would have called back in to the office. We already mailed...

him back his check and no longer wish to do business with Mr. Davis.

All of the work has been completed and the Homeowner is very pleased. I think he made a mistake by filling this complaint, thinking that it wouldn't reflect badly or leave a mark against us in this form. But all work has been completed and he is Pleased with everything. Is there a way to...

have this Removed or can you contact Mr. [redacted] about this before this counts as a complaint against us? We take these complaints very seriously and want to be as complaint free as Possible.
