Bob's Fireside Shop

Review: We went to Bob's Fireside Place on 12/13/14, picked out a electric fireplace and wood mantel and put down a $200.00 refundable deposit. We were promised a finished product available for pick up on 12/23/14. Between 12/23/14-1/16/15, we placed many of phone calls to Bob and he told us he needed more time to work on it each time we called. Finally, we were able to pick it up on 1/17/15. We arrive at the store only to find the fireplace assembled with mismatched wood and paint drippings all down the front and sides. When the worker picked up the fireplace it literally fell apart in front of us. Bob promised us to remake the whole fireplace and deliver it free of charge on the following Monday, 1/26/15 if we paid the remaining balance of $1295.86. The worker at Bob's told us he would not take it either because he said it was thrown together. That Monday and weeks passed still no word from Bob. We called several times and he told us he has not had a chance to redo it and he would have it done for us by 2/24/15 again 2/24/15 came and went. Both my fiance and I placed multiple calls. Bob finally said it was ready for pick up on 2/28/15 come to find out the fireplace was never redone (again the worked told us he would not take it either) and Bob told us that we are picky people, screamed and cursed at us to get out of his store. We went to him nicely after seeing the fireplace and asked for our money back. The store now has going out of business signs hung. Overall, we spend almost $2000.00 and we have no fireplace or refund.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of our money since no product was given.

Review: I purchased a gas log set . It was defective. The owner said he would get me a working unit, but failed to do so. He evaded my calls and then cursed me out. I was nothing but polite and reasonable with him about the issue but he flew off the handle, told me to go screw myself and he wasn't going to help me.Desired Settlement: I am in the process of getting the problem fixed. I would like to be re-imbursed for any out of pocket expenses as well as an appology.
