was making a noise. We had a technician check the vehicle and we couldn’t find anything wrong with the new converter we installed. The customer came back multiple times for the noise. We could not find anything wrong with the converter we replaced. We did a test drive of the vehicle at the owner’s request, we drove for a while with the customer and still couldn’t find or hear a noise. We were trying to help the customer figure out what the noise was since we knew it wasn’t the new catalytic converter since we checked it every time they came in. We were thinking the noise was coming from the transmission as they have almost 150,000 miles on it. The converter was in perfect condition. We then advised the customer that we believed it was another problem and they needed to take it to a transmission shop for a proper diagnosis of their vehicle. We told the customer to take their vehicle to All Automatic Transmission as they are one of the only transmission shops that will check it for free, it will cost them nothing for a free inspection of their vehicle to determine if that was the problem.
