Review: If you look online for reviews of this man's service, you will see many of the same types of complaints I am addressing. I needed some sprinkler repair for my home. [redacted] came to my home and after examining my sprinkler system, stated that it would cost me $975 to replace my sprinkler control box and 2 valves. I had no idea that it would cost that much & could not afford his price, so I asked him how much it would cost to fix the control box only. He stated that it would be $175. After working for 1 hr. & 15 min., he came to my door requesting $454. I asked why it was so high and he told me that he had to make drill holes that he didn't expect and that he dug out my valves, which I had asked him not to touch, as I could not afford the originally stated $975. I was on my way to a meeting so I didn't have the time to discuss the issue & he was acting in an aggressive & ill mannered manner, so Idecided to pay him his requested $454.Later that day, I went to Home Depot to see if they had the same box he used and the cost of valves. The exact box was $50 retail and the most expensive valves were approximately $13. Total RETAIL cost of the parts of the original job he quoted me for, ($975), was $76, not including tax. Total parts costs of the job he did for me, ($454), was $50 retail.I paid $454 for a sprinkler control box that cost $50 retail. If you do the math, that means that he is charging $404.00 for 1 hour and 15 minutes of labor. As stated above, if you go on line and look at consumer reviews of his services, you will see many, many of the same complaints. Not only does he rip customers off, he is aggressive and absolutely rude. In fact, he called me ignorant, during a phone conversation. Very professional, wouldn't you agree?I sent [redacted] a letter stating that I thought it fair to have $250 returned, as I thought that $204 was a very fair price. He agreed to refund $150 and I suggested compromising at $200. As of approximately 3 weeks later, I have not received a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $250.00 immediately. $204 for a job that cost him retail, $50 plus 1 hr and 15 minutes of work is a fair price.I would also suggest that he take an anger management course, as it is clearly obvious, when you look at his reviews that he treats his customers with a clear lack of professionalism.
