Dear Revdex.com,
This letter shall constitute Bob’s Watches response and
objection to the complaint submitted by [redacted] on January 13, 2016.
Ms. [redacted]’s complaint is factually and legally inaccurate and
defamatory.
First, Bob’s Watches...

did not “deposit” Ms. [redacted]’s
check.  Bob’s Watches only allows payment
by wire transfer, credit card or [redacted], and this is very clear on Bob’s
Watches website.  Notwithstanding, Ms.
[redacted] somehow got her bank to send an electronic “check” directly into Bob’s
Watches account without Bob’s Watches knowledge or consent.  To Bob’s Watches understanding and
experience, this is, in effect, similar to an ACH transaction in that it allows
a customer (in this instance, Ms. [redacted]) up to 60 days to “reverse” the
deposit.  It is for this very reason that
Bob’s Watches does not accept ACH transactions.
Second, Bob’s Watches is not “refusing to refund” Ms. [redacted]’s
money.  Immediately upon learning of the
above unauthorized deposit, representatives of Bob’s Watches informed Ms.
[redacted] that her method of payment was unacceptable, and it was requested that
she immediately “reverse” it.  She was
also told that if she still desired to purchase the watch, she could pay by one
of the acceptable methods referenced above.
Rather than simply doing so, Ms. [redacted] escalated the matter by having
her counsel send a demand letter to Bob’s Watches and by filing the instant complaint.   Since that time, counsel for Bob’s Watches
have repeatedly, both orally and in writing, informed Ms. [redacted]’s counsel of
the above, and requested that he instruct his client to “reverse” the
deposit.   Bob’s Watches counsel also
informed counsel for Ms. [redacted] that Bob’s Watches had placed the dollar
amount in dispute ($8,949) into the firm’s trust account, and requested Ms.
[redacted]’s counsel’s instruction as to whether Ms. [redacted] wanted the return of
the monies at issue, or, Ms. [redacted] wanted the delivery of the watch, once the
60 day period had run.   As of this date,
Ms. [redacted]’s counsel has failed to respond to any of these numerous correspondence
and communications.
Finally, [redacted] is not “a thief and dishonest.” In fact, Bob’s
Watches works very hard to satisfy its customers, and has made all attempts to
do so in this instance.  As a result of
those efforts, Bob’s Watches has earned a reputation for honesty and integrity
in the industry, and if necessary, counsel for Bob’s Watches will take
necessary and appropriate action to protect same.
As set forth above, absent direction from Ms. [redacted]’s counsel
to the contrary, once the 60 day “hold” period has run, the sum Ms. [redacted]
caused to be electronically deposited into Bob’s Watches account ($8,949) will
be wired/sent from Bob’s Watches counsel’s trust account to counsel for Ms.
[redacted].  For the reasons set forth
above, Bob’s Watches rating with the Revdex.com should not be impacted or otherwise
adjusted.”
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any
questions regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID...

[redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. [redacted]Thanks for following up here. Yes it was resolved to my liking. Thanks!
Regards,

Review: I purchased a watch which was described as "Like new, very slight wear, extra fine condition" and had no disclosed damage. Upon receiving the watch I noted that there was major damage to the original dial of the watch.Desired Settlement: As this is a collectors watch, the piece needs to stay original and cannot be replaced or repaired. That said I would like a refund of $850 which would be the approximate loss in value of the watch with a repaired dial.

I had a very satisfactory experience with Bob's Watches

I purchased a vintage Submariner that without going in to detail about I just didnt care for it. I was a bit worried that there would be issues with the return even though basically everything I read about on the net was positive....I concur I received the watch on a Wednesday, I sent it back Thursday, they received it Friday, I had my refund on Monday Bob's is a class act If I find another watch on their site that I am interested in I know that it will be a magnificent timepiece and if there is a problem they will take care of it. Buy or sell to them with confidence!

Review: On March 25, 2015, I viewed the Bob's Watches website. I was interested in purchasing a used [redacted] watch. On the website there was a very small (approximately. 3" x 4") widget ad stating I would receive 5% off my order "within the next three days".

When I phoned the next day to purchase the product, the staff refused to honor the on-line coupon, claiming that it had expired the day before. One of the staff stated that the expiration date was located in the 'small print' of the widget. I saw no such date on the widget. I reiterate that the online coupon located on the widget was very small.

I spoke with three different staff on three separate occasions and requested that the owner contact me to discuss the coupon issue. I never received a call back. I reluctantly decided to purchase the product despite its refusal to honour its coupon.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that the merchant honor its coupon by refunding 5% of the $6300 purchase price (i.e. $315) as a credit on the same [redacted] card I used to purchase the product.

Review: I ordered a Rolex from Bob's watches. Bank of America who I bank with sent a check instead of a wire. [redacted] from Bob's said they do not accept checks; however, deposited $8,949.00 of my money and refused to send me the watch. He deposited my check on 12/24/15 and it is January 13. [redacted] is refusing to refund my money and he has had my money for 3 weeks.Desired Settlement: I want you to adjust his A+ credit score because [redacted] is a thief and dishonest.

Sincerely,

I had such a terrific experience selling my Rolex to this company, I feel compelled to tell the world. They did exactly what they promised at every turn in this transaction. It is quite obvious that there is a high level of integrity in this company at its core. Well done, I cannot say enough good about Bob's Watches.
