At this time, I have been contacted directly by Bodum, Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I am writing concerning the above complaint. As a footnote we received a replacement coffee maker after 4 months and the coffee maker broke after 8 uses.
 
We have requested our money back.

Review: We purchased a Bistro 40 oz red coffeemaker online from Bodum .We had the coffee pot for about 8 months and after turning on the machine one day in November I could smell

plastic burning and after closer inspection found part of the plastic casing was burnt from what seems to be the wiring from the heating element.

Thanks, [redacted]Desired Settlement: We really do not want another Bodum product due to their dreadful customer service, so a refund would be the ideal situation, but if we cannot have a refund we will take a replacement

coffee pot if their are no recalls on the product. We have called and written many times , called many times( no one answers the phone. We have started this process on November */2014.

A guy did call and leave a message once, but trying to call back was impossible. Date Sent: [redacted]Yes bodum offers the following warranty All BODUM products carry a limited one year warranty on manufacturer defects.So the fact that the product is defective and seems to have caught on fire while in use. The problem occurred when the item was around 8.5 months old.Thank you for your assistance,

Review: I have bought the Bodum kitchen stand mixer in February, but unfortunately the Bodum stand mixer hook broke just after a few weeks. I searched [redacted], all the stores that sell Bodum products, but I can’t find any of the spare part. Even Google couldn’t find it. I had only used it twice and I was frustrated. I called Bodum customer services department. Customer service representatives told me that Bodum did not sell mixer hook separately and asked me to send back that broken machine to their head office in the US so that they can send to me the new one. But BODUM HAVE NO SERVICE IN CANADA. Despite that they have no services they were allowed to sell their products in all Canadian major stores. Shipping fee is expensive to USA and I have to pay $120 for my side and for their side. I did not agree with that, and finally they agreed that I can be responsible for the shipping fee only from my side. I asked receiver address from them, they said that they will send me by email and took my email address. But they have never sent me a receiver address. I tried to call again, but a different person would pick up the phone each time and ask me to explain the story again. My consumer rights are ignored and my money($400) has been cheated by Bodum, since they have no repair services or refund services.Desired Settlement: I believe that they should open and begin offering improved customer services in Canada. Their current services have proven to be inadequate, with all of my issues with their products being ignored almost completely.

Review: Purchased a Chambord 12 cup French press directly from the website, plastic piece of the lid broke within the one year warranty period. Several phone calls were made with no answer. Emailed for support and was told that they do not have replacement parts. Responded asking how that was possible, and what they were going to do to fix or replace the product per their one year warranty, never received any reply.Desired Settlement: Repair or replace broken product or refund purchase price per warranty.

Review: Been trying to get a warranty issue resolved for over a month on a coffee machine. Got one response back on ** Dec 13 requesting more information and nothing since then. Every phone call is unanswered. Tired of trying. I am sure this is designed and people just give up. Your welcome to my full chain of emailsDesired Settlement: A coffee machine that works and is durable.
