S County Road 5 Ste 100Fort Collins, CO 80528 This letter is to reply to a complaint about service received from Body Builders. It was not our intention to make this process so difficult for her and we are doing everything we can to resolve this issue. We have been in contact with the 2 separate [redacted] dealerships regarding the vehicle since the day we dropped the customer and the vehicle off at [redacted] in Cheyenne, WY. They determined there was an issue with the MAP sensor and that is what would cause the mechanical/ transmission issues she was having. When we were finished with her vehicle we were comfortable with telling her it was repaired. We were not aware of any other mechanical issues until she returned it to us, had we known this we would have sent the car to a [redacted] dealer for the mechanical repairs. In regards to the transmission fluid issue, the paperwork she referred to was her estimate, when we originally looked at the vehicle due to the surrounding damages we estimated that it would need transmission fluid. This estimate is then sent to the insurance companies for approval and as we work on the vehicle we add or remove the items and then submit a supplement to them. The levels were tested before the vehicle left our shop and we tested the level of fluid again when it returned and according to our findings there was still fluid in the transmission but it was not full and it requires [redacted] transmission fluid and can only be purchased at a Certified dealer; the closest dealer with this fluid was 100 miles away, resulting in us to take the action we did. In accordance with the owner’s manual of the vehicle a Certified [redacted] dealer drains the transmission fluid and adds all new fluid, which is why it took 7.5 quarts of fluid.  We would not in any way send her or her vehicle out of our shop if we did not feel it was safe and road worthy, we do everything in our power to make sure our customers are happy with our services. We have continued to work with the [redacted] dealership in Colorado and after speaking with the service manager we understand once the MAP sensor was replace it resolved all the issues she was having with her vehicle, and there should be no further issues with her transmission.Sincerely,Body Builders
