Body Tuning & Physical Therapy

Review: On Thursday, September ** at 5 pm, I had an appointment to visit a physical therapist for the first time. I visited Body Tuning run by physical therapist [redacted], located at [redacted]. The telephone is ###-###-####. To set up the appointment I spoke with the [redacted] twice, one to set up the appointment and the other time to confirm it. Both times I asked whether the office accepted [redacted] and both times they said yes.On September **, I visited the office for my appointment. I gave the [redacted] my drivers license and [redacted] card and started filling in forms for the office. Before I finished filling out the forms, [redacted] came out of his office and told me to put down the papers and start physical therapy. The [redacted] made no effort to inform me that he would not accept [redacted] or that he was going to bill me $300 for the visit.When the physical therapy was finished, the [redacted] presented me with a $300 bill. He said they they were out of network and that [redacted] did not cover the expense. I told him that I had asked him clearly twice by phone and once when I got to the office whether they accepted [redacted] and that he had said yes each time. He told me I had to pay the bill. I told him he lied to me. He said, perhaps, there was "miscommunication" but affirmed that he had told me each time that the office accepted [redacted].I paid the bill on my credit card.I believe that this constitutes both "false advertising" for misrepresenting their relationship with [redacted] and fraud for not informing me of the cost of the session before it started.Desired Settlement: I don't believe that I should be billed for this service.
