I cancelled my gym membership in June of due to moving out of state and was still being charged until December After speaking to the district manager who I cancelled with back in June and said he remembers me cancelling and that “they owe me money” he then recancelled me that day and sent me to corporateWhen I contacted corporate about the charges they asked If I had proof of cancellation because they did not have theirs or if I had any proof of movingThey said if I provided proof of moving they would refund me “if they wanted to”After sending a document that they would accept as proof of relocation they stopped emailing me and all communication with meI have spoke with the gym itself, corporate, and the president of the company and have sent a follow up email to the president with no rely at all

It took almost two months for them to cancel my membershipI started around Christmas and I was only cancelled as of today 02/(I am actually not cancelled, they said I am set for non-renew, so we will see what happens in the next bill cycle)When I started, they asked for proof of my moveI provided a phone bill for another state in my name and they provided me a signed membership change form that canceled as of 12/27/with no feeThey promised to call if there were any issuesNo one called, and they continued to charge my bank accountI called after the charge in January, and they said my cancellation was not acceptedI asked why didn't anyone call? They basically ignored the question and said I am in contract, the employee was wrong, and they require a cancellation paymentThe cancellation fee is $I only was under contract more months which is about $I asked them to charge it, they said I had to come inI explained I do not live here anymore, and would not be able to make it inThey said they would call me backNever didI am an add for another person who does still have this businessThat person tried to cancel several times in the gym for me and pay the fee, they kept saying they will have to check and call him back or meNo one callsEveryone forgetsTwo months later 2/20, a manager finally said to call Corporate, they could have taken the payment over the phone THE WHOLE TIME and provided me the numberIt took two months for someone to provide a real answerPlus, I love how they just ignore the fact I have a signed copy of a cancellation form that says cancelled without feeThis business will be sued one day, as it is all ran by inexperienced and unprofessional employeesStay awayFitness is cheaper and way cleaner

Member inquired about cancelation of her membership on 12/12/2017. As per the signed membership agreement we require a 15 day written notice prior to the billing date. Her membership billing date is on the 24th of each calendar month. As a courtesy we waived her scheduled payment of $26.78 that was...

due on 12/24/17. This was to allow the member to mail reasonable proof of her relocation to TX and or a copy of a signed and dated cancelation form. With proof we would refund her 60 day’s worth of invoices, based on the terms of her membership agreement. Member physically arrived in person at our Bakersfield Corporate Office on 12/21/2017 with her mother to again dispute her cancelation. At this time she also did not provide proof of prior cancelation or reasonable proof of relocation to TX. The membership has been cancelled based on the date of her notification, if at such time she can produce a BX cancellation form dated prior to 12/12/2017 we will review for a further refund. It should also be noted that member completed a chargeback with her bank for the payment collected on 11/24/2017 in the amount of $26.78. We will waive the amount due from 11/24/2017 and from 12/24/2017 which is the furthest we are able to go back unless we receive a cancelation form from an earlier date.
