Boe D. Automotive Reviews (1)

Boe D. Automotive acquired my vehicle for repairs on 5/19/2013. Boe D. Automotive began repairs by replacing a belt on more car without advising belt replacement was needed what the reason was for the mechanical failure to my car, or advising what the cost of repairs would be. After many failed attempts to reach Boe D. Automotive I finally received a call advising he had somehow locked the steering column and could not unlock it to start my car. He advised that I would need to come and get the car started because he could not. In an effort to assist, I did go over to start try and start the car but I could not get it started. I also noticed the pull to open the hood of the car was ripped from is normal position and dangling on the floor under the petals on the driverside.Over a period of several days as the car sat without being repaired he asked me to bring my spare key advising that my key was worn and that was why the car would not start. I inquired about why the pull to open the hood was loose and dangling and he advised it was old and worn and needed to be replaced. I advised that he would need to see to it that I was repaired and restored to its usual position as he damaged my property and would to fix it. In an effort to assist again I did bring the spare key as he asked. Howvever when I got there he was not there. I waited well over an hour and a half for him to arrive as he continued to say he was on his way, but never showed. He had his wife, who had been sitting outside this whole time open the shop to allow me to come in and see if the key would start the car. It would not. Over course of the next several days he says I'll need to have the car towed to the dealership to get a new key and reprogramming done. I made no committment to do so as I wasn't sure what to did. Finally the week of May 26, 2013 he advises he knows a lock smith that could do the repairs. I consent to the repairs and told him I would be by at the end of the week to pick up the car. Mid week he calls and advises the car is repaired which consisted of him changing the belt and having a locksmith replace an ignition lock switch and key reprogramming along with the belt he had put on. He assured me the car was fixed and ready to go adivising the cost of repairs were $225.00. I arrived at his shop late evening on 5/31/2013. The inside of the car was covered in metal shavings from the locksmith work, the pull for the hood still loosely dangling not repaired and restored to its proper position and the check engine light was on immediately me starting the car. He could explain why the check engine light was on and processed to take measure to look into. The light turned off but he couldn't advise what the problem was. He then proceeds to tell me that he didn't know why my car gave me trouble in the first place and that I consider myself test driving it until another problem occurs.(?) At this point I had already paid him but requested my money back because I was more than uncomfortable with the quality of work and service I had been given. But he refused. I pulled out of his shop and immediately upon turning the corner from his street my check engine light came on, my car sputtered and cut off. I managed to get the car started briefly and was able to coast back to his shop. I asked for my money back again and but he refused. He began to try and assess what may have happened but simply put he was clueless. I continued to as for my money back but was refused. He kept the car over the weekend advising he'd take another look at it and get it over to the ford dealership for assistance. I today on 6/4/13 had to have my car towed to midas to be repaired as he told me to come pick up my car he was done helping me. Still all the while refusing to give me a refund.
