Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:Sincerely,*** ***
I am rejecting their response, because when I first went to their office, they required a form of identification and that ID was my liscense and the liscense has my NY City address and so does the w-forms that they used to file my returnsso they should not lie like thatThey are not very helpful, they recommend I get a Tax attorney, who's going to pay for that? They should do their research with regard to what the Tax laws are when dealing with clients that have a different address, and work in HawaiiI had to re-type this response, not sure if you received the first
Thank you

*** ** *** Aloha, This is the information you requested from me, regarding the W-form. As you can see the NYC address is on the 1040, as well as the W-Form, so are the other's in addition to this one

Firstly, the IRS does not require the tax preparer to obtain a driver's license; nor does our firm have a policy of asking for a driver's license. We did advise the client of steps she could do individually to attempt to refute New York States claimWe, further advised that the actions, short of using a New York State tax attorney has a small chance of successfully having New York drop its' claim.Again, we recommend that the client retain a New York tax attorneyIf she is not comfortable in retaining a tax law attorney; we will obtain a New York tax law attorney which would require a retainer.Sincerely,Mariin b***

To whom it may concern:
I originally called on A Tax Lawyer, at the beginning of the year, when I received my first Tax Audit for the year in Question, 2008, (which was originally filed at *** * ***, in which at that time the Tax Lawyer from NYC, felt it was the responsibility of the office that did the preparation of the taxes that should have responded to any request. Which was an ITThe Tax Lawyer was a bit apprehensive, then filed the IT203 I wound up paying $2,with penaltiesAnyway So much good that did me
At that time offices of *** *** ***, recommended a NYC CPA. Really? I felt they just didn't want to deal with the matterI dealt with that oneThis complaint came about, because I received a second Audit, for 2010-which the IRS is expecting me to pay $3,with penaltiesAgain, taxes were filed by *** * ***This time around, they (*** office) were taking a long time to get back to me. I'm really nervous about this matter, they know itI made numerous calls to SusanAs far as the criteria for filing or as they call it, policy, about the IRS not needing a drivers Liscense, or their office requiring onePlease don't insult my intelligence, When I first presented to their office, my Liscense, my ship card, and a check which I was told to bring with me, in order to process the direct deposit was obtained by your officethe preparer in your office, also requested these of me. You have a secretary, named Susan who reminded me, as well
I just find that kinda bogus, what Company on earth handling people's money CPA Office, not require an official form of identification, to process important information? I'd like to get a list of them, just out of curiosity
I have on my end done my due diligence, in forwarding all possible information to try and have the IRS drop the claim, the assessment deptis still in review of that information. The advice from *** * ***, I should stick by my guns, well trying Now there trying to say they would get a NYC Lawyer as a retainer, well thank you for that, but it's all in the waiting process as to what they're decision will be(*** *** ** ***) In the meantime, I'd like to really say and get a written guarantee, from their office, (***) that if the IRS requires them to forward any kind of forms to be filed in relation to any prepared taxes they prepared for me, that they should respond accordingly
Then, I will be more than Happy to close this complaint, and praying I don't receive any more Audits
Sincerely,

It's not my intention to cause a problem, it's just a matter of principle and doing what's right by your Client. I'll inform them and Revdex.com, about the outcome, as soon as I receive a decision from The IRS
