This letter is in response to the complaint from [redacted] regarding her refund. Just to set a few things straight from the complaint. Her boyfriend is the person that rented the unit, [redacted], not Ms. [redacted]. 
The rental period was not two years, but one year and five...

months. They did pay monthly and on time.
 
The time period that we received their notice to vacate was during some office renovations and, unfortunately, their refund was delayed a month. It was mailed in August and the refund was returned to us as" undeliverable". 
The vacate notice address was; [redacted]. which looked like [redacted] The check was rushed Into the 5pm mail that same day It was returned to us and phone messages left at both of the numbers 
on the vacate letter to inform them.
 
Apparently, this complaint was filed durlng all of this. As far as not being able to get ahold of us with no voice mail, that is incorrect. We have an answering machine on 24-7 and messages are checked daily except some weekends 
when we are out of the office. Calls are then returned Monday. Perhaps because the machine does not pick up until the 5-6 ring, she may have hung up.
 
We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused on our behalf. As requested by Ms. [redacted], an additional check (# [redacted]) will be Issued in that regard made payable to [redacted] as of today, Sept. 12, 2104.

Review: My boyfriend & I rented a storage unit from Boehlkes 2 years ago (almost). We filled out the form & sent our last month of rent to be out by July 1, 2014. According to laws & their papers it states that you will recieve your security deposit back within 21 days. After 30 days passed I called & left a message. I never heard back. I called again (8/22/14) & stated I called before & would like a response or I will be taking this further. The lady called me back a couple hours later and told me "it has been a crazy month & all deposits are being sent out this afternoon". Well it is now almost 2 weeks later and I still have yet to receive any form of mail or communication from them. I tried calling 4 times today alone & it just rang, no voicemail.Desired Settlement: At this rate I should get more than my deposit back! We had them for 2 years and now they wanna mess with money. I need to catch up on bills and pay for my childs things.. I just want SOMETHING BACK.
