This is an isolated incident that occurred with a technician that has been with Akron Pest Control for over years. I have talked with him and have disciplined him in a manner I feel is appropriate. The gentleman filing the complaint was NOT at the property at the time of
service. I spoke with BOTH people involved with this issue multiple times and feel this was resolved with the people who were actually present at the time. I am not happy that this has happened and have expressed that to the technician multiple times who was suspended without pay as well as had his raise postponed past the busy season. I agree that the statements were very inappropriate. In speaking with the customer she did state that she was laughing at times and continuing to carry on a conversation. I also asked the customer if she would be interested in having a conversation with all (myself, her and the technician) so that we could discuss in full so all details could be addressed, as well as issue a personal apology, she said no. My technician stated that he never intended to offend or harass the customer but was engaging in (all be it inappropriate) a conversation. He is also 6'1", lbs. He has also stated he is very sorry for this and assured me it will never happen again!

Coming from a place of understanding the customer and business as I am a business owner myselfFifteen years of employment at a small business can create a bond between employers and employees, which can blind one from the seriousness of a matter such a harassmentThat being said said, laughter can be commonly misinterpreted as comfort where it is actually anxiousness and nervousness at work in a situation that calls for a calm head when safety is a key priority to exit a situationThe word “no” can not be misinterpretedAkron Pest Control LLC and I agree that it is highly inappropriate to harass someone after gaining access to a residence with a business’s reputation backing themHowever we do not see eye to eye on the resolution taken in the matter of harassment when using a business’s reputation to gain access to a residence request to see “naked pictures”, request to “put something sexy on” next time they come back and, comment that “I would take it for a ride”I hope that all party’s backing the individual that admitted to saying all of these things is willing to put the business’s reputation on the line for one persons actions regardless of tenure or seniorityI won’t continue communication nor request it but, I will ask for empathy in this case that if put in the other party’s shoes would one show so much simpathy for the opposite party or for a persons massive “misinterpretation”If you would like you can contact me via phone provided to the Revdex.com
