Boenning & Scattergood, Incorporated

Review: My father, [redacted] Sr. died on November 1, 2009. I have repeatedly called Boenning & Scattergood to close his account which had a value of $170.50 as of January 31, 2010. No one would help me or answer my questions about how to close his account. Finally in the spring of 2013, they told me we need a short certificate. However the short certificates are no longer valid and now I have to pay to get new short certificates. Also they have charged this account with a $50.00 fees even though there is no activity. This account is now worth $68.40Desired Settlement: I want to close this account, but I don't believe we should have to incur additional expenses to accomplish this. It is due to Boenning & Scattergood's lack of professional customer service that this issue exisits.
