The business in this compliant had contacted me directly and resolved the issues in questionI would like to remove this compliant at this time. Kind regards, Jeff ***Senior Property Manager

I, personally was on the property when the customer instructed us to provide a bid for bad exclusion Following our standard business procedures in regard to bat exclusions, we instruct the customer that there is an inspection charge of $129. We inform the customer of this information
prior to even obtaining an address for the project to ensure that they are aware of our policies Per standard business practices, we also inform the customer that if they decide to proceed with the work, the $is to be included in the cost of the exclusion. The proposed work to be performed was to remove shutters from the home, clean the droppings from behind the shutters, and then reinstall and seal the edges that meet the siding. This procedure would keep future bats from roosting behind the shutters and causing repeat issues in the future. The customer called back stating she no longer wanted this work to be done as proposed. She wanted us to remove the shutters and have the siding cleaned but desired to no longer have the shutter re-installed on the home. This would have been agreeable but the customer stated that she would not pay the amount agreed to on the original bid. The desire of the customer to change the scope of work, albeit, a small change, did not warrant a discounted rate as service and swould have to occur regardless of this small change. The customer instructed us that she did not want to proceed with the work at the original price, leaving us with an incomplete project.Thank you for your time in this matter.*** ***Owner, BohmZ Pest Services, LLC*** - Cell

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
There are some KEY components that have been changed in the response from Bohmz Pest ControlI was NOT informed prior to the inspection there would be a $"inspection fee." It is not stated on their website, it was not included in the email correspondence, nor was it mentioned in the phone conversationAlso, after I was forced to pay the $"inspection fee," I was told HALF the fee would be placed toward the work completed, not 100%Let me address the inspectionIt was minutes, including the walk about the house (once) a few questions and my writing the checkAlso, I would like to add, *** stated he would be in the area for another job, so it was no problem stopping by, so it is not as if he made a special trip to Madison that day. Now, let me address the "change in work to be completed." That change was made AFTER trying to have a response from the companyIt took several MONTHS, emails, texts and phone calls to have *** finally call meI explained to him, we no longer needed the shutters sealed back onto the house, drastically cutting back the time/labor/materials needed to complete the workI asked for a revised estimate, I was told by *** I would be given one that day or the nextIt was never sentI am making good on my statement to *** I would file a formal complaint with the Revdex.com as well as post negative reviews online.Let me add one moreIF *** and Bohmz Pest Control fail to return the $"inspection fee" that was never agreed upon PRIOR to *** being inside my living room, I am seriously considering pursuit of this in small claims court and ask for the $plus fees and my hourly wage in "fees," I have had to spend chasing this downThe company is giving unacceptable service and now has multiple negative posts online in the past months regarding the same non-service they offered meAs a business you cannot demand money when there is no written or verbal agreement to collect suchThere is nothing on your website, and I was NOT informed of the fee as I have stated beforeThe public deserves to know this is not a business to be contracted and the business deserves to have it on public record the have bad business practices

I'm willing to refund your money from the treatment itself due to miscommunication. However I'm not responsible for items you purchased on your own. I believe this is fair for both parties involved so we can move forward.Thank you,[redacted]BohmzPestServices.com[redacted]

Review: On 02/09/15 I began a conversation with [redacted] to take a look at a bat problem we are having in the shutters outside our house. We set up an "inspection" for 2/11/15. [redacted] did show up, walked around the house and asked a few questions. Upon agreeing Bohmz Pest could take the shutters down, remove the bats (however that is performed) clean, then replace the shutters with a foam seal to keep the bats out, I was given a BILL for the estimate. At no time was I ever informed the inspection would be at my expense. I paid [redacted] $129 as I was alone and shocked, unsure if I could refuse to pay. He did explain half the charge could be used at the time of service toward the work to be completed. Estimate for return service was additional $289. Later in February I called [redacted] and agreed to have the service done. On 04/08/15 I contacted [redacted] again via email to see if he had an ETA for the work to be completed. He replied, he would be with us ASAP. I did not hear from Bohmz Pest again, I contacted them yet again 06/16/15 via email with no reply. I called the business around August 21 and was contacted by [redacted] who did not even know about the agreement for the work to be done. He said he would come out the following week to complete it, but never showed up. I contacted [redacted] via text August 24th to let him know we just wanted the shutters taken down, the area cleaned, but to leave the shutters off. [redacted] called me back and was more than a little rude. By this time I was beyond ready to just get a refund and call it off. [redacted] told me they did not "clean" the area unless it was inside. I explained we did not have bats inside, he asked if I was sure. I am. He said [redacted] would get back to me with an updated estimate via email or phone that week. [redacted] did not. I sent an email to [redacted] explaining at this point, I did not believe they ever planned to complete the work, and I would like a refund of the $129.00. I let them know I would be lodging a complaint with Revdex.com, and posting negative reviews on Yelp, Angies List and Google as well as any other social media outlets if I did not receive a reply. To this date, I have not heard from Bohmz Pest Services. This company has horrible customer service and should consider not offering services they are not qualified nor motivated to perform.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of the $129.00 charge for a bogus estimate on work Bohmz never intended to complete.

I called Bohmz pest control a month ago to take care moth issues I was having he was professional and answered all my questions in a timely fashion. He guarantee's his work. So when I had another occurrence I gave him a call and he came back out and sprayed again and more areas than I was having issues with. And has reassured me that he would come back again if needed. I am very pleased with the work that has been done and hopefully won't need him again for that issue anyway.lol If I have any pest issues again I will call him again and would/will recommend his services to friends and anyone who is in need.

Review: On may 3rd, 2013 we had 2 guys at our home to treat the house for bed bugs. The total amount for their services was $2,612.00 they were to get $1,260.00 up front, which my landlord gave them, and the balance when the job was done and the house was bug free. They were supposed to come back in 17-20 days to re-inspect for bed bugs and they never did, in the meantime, they went ahead and collected the balance owed to them from my landlord and still have not been by to finish the job that they were paid to do. I called them on 7-8-2013, they called me back on 7-9-2013 and said that he would call me on thursday 7-11-2013 to set up a time for them to come re-inspect and here it is 7-12-2013 and I have not heard from them at all. I have to reinburse my landlord the $2,612.00 for the exterminator for a job that they did not finish. I personally feel that this company should reimburse my landlord the $1,352.00 because they did not complete their job and we still have bed bugs. I feel that he and his company have frauded my landlord and myself. Thank You Very Much [redacted]Desired Settlement: Bohmz Pest Services should refund my landlord back $1,352.00 since they did not fulfill their commitment

I’ll start off by saying we do a lot of these jobs, A LOT,

and have never received a complaint to date!

This customer was given specific instructions prior to the

job being done. They need to keep up on

their end for the treatment to be successful.

I was at the home and treated the entire house top to bottom by the

book. The only phone number I was given

was her sons number, whom was hard to communicate with during the process (I

believe he travels for work) but I was told he was in charge. I tried to set up multiple appointments with

him and did not receive a time when we could return to the home. When contact was made, he was out of town but

told me no one had complaints and everything in the house was good. At that time I had called the landlord and I

believe the son did as well to release the final payment. Everything was filed and the job was

complete.

Weeks after this point the son contacted me saying they had

an issue, someone had moved in and they had been bitten up. I told him I could come back and take a look

and to set up a time, I heard nothing in return from him. After this two weeks went by and [redacted]

contacted me with an upset voicemail.

When I returned the call and told her I had been in contact with her son

but hadn’t received a time to return she said she didn’t hear that from him.

Upon return to the home, many of the bed bug mattress covers

(that MUST always remain in tact) are ripped and destroyed from what [redacted]

says is from the dogs. I explained that

these issues would directly affect the outcome.

Also some of the beds and headboards have been changed out. A few that were treated are outside, a few

that were not at the property at the time of treatment are inside, the people

living at the property have changed.

Between the issues with the bags on site, changing out beds,

not following the instructions lists to the fullest and lack of communication

this complaint baffles me with as much work as we do in a wide variety of

communities. These treatments and

products cost my company a ton of money, before you get to the labor

portion. No refund will be issued to

this customer.

Please feel free to contact me directly [redacted].

Thank you,

Review: We contacted Bohmz Pest Services to remove bed bugs. They came to our home on November 18, 2014, spent less than an hour and charged us $329. Mr. [redacted] told us he would return in 14-17 days to check and see if the treatment was successful. He told us he would call to make an appointment so we would be home. We did not hear from Mr. [redacted]. I called and left a message on or around December 8th requesting a return phone call so we could set up the follow up appointment. He did not contact me. The bed bugs are still in our home and we will be forced to contact another pest control business to complete the job which will be another big expense.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of $329.

[redacted] and [redacted] claim against “Bohmz Pest

Services” Total Claim $728.95.

Had a bat issue and [redacted] did a good job explaining what need to be corrected. As part of the job, Bohmz install "one way" bats doors so that the bats could get out the attic; [redacted] explained that he would come out a week later to remove the "one way" bat doors (this was in August). Its almost November and [redacted] has not followed up on his word. Contacted him several times since (in August, September and October) to come out an finish the job but to no avail. Finally, got sick of waiting for [redacted] to finish the job, and removed the "one way" bat doors myself. I recommend that if there is any follow up work that you withhold part of the agreed upon price to provide [redacted] incentive to come back and complete the job

Two skunks had dug a burrow under my front step. I used the company to have them removed. I chose this company because it was the only one that was immediately available.

It took several days and two resets before any skunks were caught. Partially, this was due to rain on the first night and not the service provider's fault. The second night some animal removed one trap and sprung another, but nothing was caught. After that, the service provider did return to reset and bait the traps. Finally, one skunk was caught. Another was clearly still using the burrow, but was not caught that night. The service provider was reluctant to change out the old bait for new bait, but did do it when I insisted. After that a second skunk was caught.

To ensure that all the skunks were caught, the traps were reset and left in place. The next day, the traps were untouched, but a woodchuck was seen entering the burrow. There were clearly no more skunks.

The service provider put in different bait for the woodchuck. Over the next two nights, there was no further sign of the woodchuck. Also, no animal was using the burrow (a plastic bag stuffed in the entrance showed if anyone went in or out). On the third morning, a skunk was caught in one of the traps. This skunk had not clearly not been in the burrow. The service provider suggested it was "in the neighborhood."

All that is well and good, but the third skunk would not have been caught except that the service provider did not clean the traps or switch the traps after the original skunks were gone. The woodchuck bait was just put in the same traps. I had noticed that some of the skunk bait was also in one of the traps. That is the trap that caught the 3rd skunk.

This service provider not only charged a high inspection price for the original set-up, but originally quoted an inspection price plus "$60 for removal." He did not say "$60 for removal of each skunk." So I assumed the $60 included all removals.

On top of that, the 3rd skunk was attracted to these traps because of the bait left in them. It would not have come to my property otherwise. There are skunks in the neighborhood. It was not my intention to trap all of them, but only the two that had burrowed under my step.

I feel that 1) the provider should have made his cost structure clear (other companies cited an initial fee plus a removal fee per skunk), 2) I should not have been charged for a third skunk that was attracted to the mess left by the service provider.

I paid the bill, but I would not recommend this company or use it in future.
