when we fist spoke I was unsure what to do next as this has never happenedYou already mentioned the repair had been done and I owed you for itSo I didnt bring up repairing it as it was already done, I also knew my deductible was so I knew they amount would not be covered under insurance without paying that amountNot being experienced in having an issue like this I mentioned I would have to sell my personal belonging to make that kind of moneyThen after we spoke, I went ahead and consulted help from a few sources on this matter They let me know what to do in that situation and guided me in the course of actionAnd I did respond to you as we arranged on time, without delay As you say the sheet metal work was not to your standardThen why is it only now a complaint and not when you watched me replace itIf I was aware of the issue on the 6th as you said you found out the accident that day, I could have rushed over and worked on it that evening after hoursAs I agree having ac is a luxury we all enjoy Standard practice on an issue like this to have the company who had the accident a chance to resolve the issue and make it right, If you did not want me to work on it then I would have provided three bids to show you the cost to replace this unit, Each company I contacted the price was drastically less then what you insist I pay you You could have had anyone you decide work on it, but I am willing to compensate you for cost of its replacement based on the submitted bids I gave you a pricing sheet on the replacement, Including the labor to replace itThat coil retails for $I even charged on the bid labor and costs$is including labor and materials for me to do an AC coil swapMost of what you paid was for R-a refrigerant we are now phasing out, for R-410a a much less costly refrigerantThey up charged you drastically for that refrigerant If you insist on taking this to small claims Im fine in that decision, or we can utilize the Revdex.com resolution system
As mentioned you only contacted me after you fixed the system, not even allowing me to opportunity to tell you what price I can replace the unit forI did take the advice from my agent to price out the total cost of everythingI did, I could have replaced that coil for the amount I submitted to youAn accident accured, if I was contacted immediately I would have performed the repair immediatlyIt took me a few days for my response to you because I did have a busy personal schedule at the time, and the coil had been replaced already ? My labor costs and everything was included, I didn't up charge anything just my cost for replacementI also received two other bids, to replace the coilBoth came in under Again including everythin, that why I mentioned to you it could have been done for under my insurance won't cover it, because total cost to replace it is under my deductibleThat's all, because I'm in the hvac industry I would just do the work on my time and cost to save my insurance from overpaying unessisary costs.? ?

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
My wife and I first noticed our AC did not work on Saturday, June 2016. I did not know you were responsible for the damage until I had an HVAC company diagnose the problem on Monday, June I called you on June and left a message on your answering machine. Upon our initial conversation on June (while the repair work was taking place), you told me that you never should have taken this particular job and that you would see what you could do to come up with the money to cover the cost of the repair as your insurance company would not cover the $amount. You even told me about having to potentially sell some guns and a car to cover the cost of the repair. Also during our June conversation, we agreed that you would contact me by Friday (June) to let me know your progress towards coming up with the money for the repair. Never once during this initial conversation did you mention anything about repairing the unit yourself. You told me of this option three days later on June and only after consulting with your insurance company. Yet, now you are saying that I did not give you the opportunity to fix the system using your discounted costs and labor. On June 6, it was degrees Fahrenheit. The following day it was also degrees. On June 8, it was degrees Obviously, fixing my air conditioner was rightfully a high priority of mine. Furthermore, given your less than desirable sheet metal patchwork and carelessness with my evaporator coil, I would not be comfortable hiring you to fix my HVAC system.
Given the above circumstances, your offer of $is not acceptable. This amount does not even factor in labor costs. It does not adequately reimburse me for the costs I incurred to fix my HVAC unit that you damaged. If this is your final offer, then you leave me no option but to take you to small claims court where I will seek full compensation for the cost of the repair.
Sincerely,*** ***

my insurance won't cover it, because total cost to replace it is under my deductibleThat's all, because I'm in the hvac industry I would just do the work on my time and cost to save my insurance from overpaying unessisary costs

Then after we spoke, I went ahead and consulted help from a few sources on this matter. They let me know what to do in that situation and guided me in the course of action. I gave you a pricing sheet on the replacement, Including the labor to replace it. That coil retails for $150.00 I even charged on the bid labor and costs. $466.66 is including labor and materials for me to do an AC coil swap. Most of what you paid was for R-22 a refrigerant we are now phasing out, for R-410a a much less costly refrigerant. They up charged you drastically for that refrigerant. If you insist on taking this to small claims Im fine in that decision, or we can utilize the Revdex.com resolution system.
