The client came in for a color correction We removed unwanted purple from her hair, used a deep conditioning treatment, and performed a haircut We then proceeded to give her a dark balayage, the client was happy with color except for a few pieces, which the salon proceeded to fix to her liking The client left satisfied with her hair; she told more than one employee she loved her hair and it was exactly what she wanted That night and the next day the mother of the client (the client is not a minor) proceeded to contact the salon and the owner repeatedly The owner went over with the mother in detail about the process of a color correction The owner offered to continue the color correction at no charge and/or correct anything [redacted] was unhappy with The lady refused and was repeatedly yelling, and aggressive to employees The client had initially already been given a good deal, we offered to continue the process at no charge and/or also give a gift certificate value for the amount she paid She did not want to take us up on any of the offers The owner chose not to give a refund due to the fact that the client had left satisfied, we performed the services the client asked for, and the product and time have already been used and we did exactly what she asked for She chose not to come back to us or take us up on any offers Color corrections are in depth processes; there are no guarantees One the client changed her mind and decided she did not like her anymore, we did repeatedly offer to fix the clients hair with out charging her anymore Again, she did not want to take us up on any offerShe also left satisfied at the salon, it was her mother calling back demanding money- her mother who had never been to the salon and was not the client We always stand by client satisfaction and this is the first incident we have had like this We understand that clients may change their mind about their hair, that is why we always offer them to come back and allow us to tailor their hair to their liking Unfortunately, when a client tells us they are satisfied, and/or don't allow us to do so, there is not much we can do Especially with color corrections, they are in depth processes and one can't be sure how the hair will react (as in any chemical process)- that is why it is a by the hour process It deserves mention that [redacted] was also a first time client and we could not be sure what was done to her hair before or how it would react There is not much else we can do besides explain to the client the process, give our recommendation, and then do what they ask us to do I will say my staff was upset that she was unsatisfied, and truly would have liked to help her get the look she wanted The owner has told the mother to stop contacting them personally and also not to contact the salon after she brought more than one employee to tears, however, the owner still stands by the fact that [redacted] could have come back to get her hair done to her liking According to her mother, she did leave town and they didn't want to come to the salon, so again, there was not much we could do
