Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The business owner is absolutely incorrectWe made an inquiry about a date, and not a reservation, and he charged us for the inquiry because he had our credit information on fileI advise potential customers to NOT book with his systemOnce he had our credit card information there was little we could do to reason with himThe right thing for the owner to do would be to acknowledge his inquiry system is not a booking system and to return our security deposit.? It is important that potential customers understand that the owner threatened to charge our credit card without our consent, and when we stated that would be illegal, he withheld our security deposit from a previous bookingThis is an improper withholding of a security deposit, we returned the trailer in same condition as which it was rentedHe withheld our security deposit as retribution for an error in booking.? Again, I advise customers not to use the online reservation system and not to share credit card information with this company? Sincerely, [redacted]

Below is a picture of the email that was sent automatically from my booking system. The complainant claims that my booking system has a flaw, it does not, it works perfectly 100% of the timeWhen customers click on dates on the reservation calendar and then submits the reservation I am
automatically sent an email with the dates that are clicked on by the customerIt is worth noting that my terms and conditions are readily accessible on the website there are a number of links built into the page so that before the clients submits reservation dates so that they can refer to the terms and conditionsAlso, it is clearly stated on the website that by clicking on days and submitting reservations you are agreeing to the terms and conditions. The next step in my reservation process is I send an invoiceI also call the customer on the phone and discuss the details of the reservationFor that discussion we agreed that they would be two different sets of dates and that I would only require that she pay for one deposit and half of one of the datesIn a case were multiple consecutive days for reservations are submitted by a customer, like in this case, I only send one invoice and ask for one security deposit I don't feel that it's fair to the customer to ask for two security deposits or two payments if they're willing to pay one I feel that's enough of a commitment for meOnce the invoices paid I approve the requested reservation daysWhich is what happened hereOnce the booking is approved the customer receives an approval email and I also received a duplicate emailhere is the email below. In addition to the customer being fully aware that they reserve multiple days on my calendar after I learned that the customer was no longer interested in the second set of days which was on the day of the first pick up I explained that I would open the days up and try to get them reserved by someone else who may be interested as to mitigate my losses and theirsThis apparently was not enough for this customerAfter the second set of days had passed I sent an email informing the customer that I was unable to read book the days that she had reserved on my calendar months in advance and I was forced to charge for a cancellation fee of $a day which is equal to $I would like to note that I sent back $of the $deposit to the customer which she fails to mention in the complaintI feel that I made every attempt to turn it to try to work with this customer and in her statement of the complaint she's deceitful and lying she did reserve those days she was well aware of it and as a matter of fact on the date of the first pick up to the trailer rental she mentioned that she was planning on "trying out" the rental before she committed to the second set of days.It is worth noting that this customer made these plans months in advance so for those months that those dates were taken up on my calendar other customers who visited the website and booking calendar were unable to book those dates which cost the business money.Cliff C***

It is important that potential customers understand that the owner threatened to charge our credit card without our consent, and when we stated that would be illegal, he withheld our security deposit from a previous booking. This is an improper withholding of a security deposit, we returned the trailer in same condition as which it was rented. He withheld our security deposit as retribution for an error in booking.
Again, I advise customers not to use the online reservation system and not to share credit card information with this company.  Sincerely,[redacted]
