Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/30) */
The patient called our office and was in pain, we scheduled her asap as we are aware of how painful tooth ache is. Anyone who calls our office in pain, we schedule in same day or at the most next and we did the same with this patient....

The patient told us that she had Delta Dental and we do take this insurance. Based on the information her insurance company gave us, we calculated the patient portion. The breakdown of benefit's any insurance company gives us is estimated. The patient was not only informed that this is just an estimate but has signed two sheets of paper which say that this is an estimate. We did not change our fees and have a written document to prove that.
so when she came for the extraction, we gave her the estimate and she signed it before the work was done and our fees are written on it.
The insurance company is a separate entity, we have no authority over them. The patient did not inform us that it is a PPO plan so the insurance company paid based on those fees. We give an estimate based on the estimate given by the insurance company and this is a courtesy we extend to our patients otherwise, the patients are fully aware of the insurance that they have. The insurance company advises their participants(patients) to make sure they are aware of where they are going for procedures.
As far as we are concerned, I will take firm actions if we did not do a good job in the services we provided. We are a dental office, when the patient came to us with pain, we took care of her with lot of attention and detail. We take pride in what we do but at the same time would like to get paid for the services that we provided. I have signed documents of the patient , please let me know if you would like to access them (HIPPA voilation).
Apart from that, the was charged an extra $50 as she had made an appointment for herself as well as husband for another day to get a full checkup done and never showed up. I personally called her to remind her but she said that she was busy. I did explain her that she would be charged the fee as she did not give us a 48 hour notice, the patient was rude and said that she did not care(we have a signed copy of our rules which states that patients will be charged if they did not give us notice in advance). We did not charge anything for her husband.
It is unfortunate that this patient was a different person when she was in pain but after getting treatment, she has nothing but abused my front staff and myself with foul language and racial comments and tried to hurt our business with bad reviews on yelp, just to get out of money.
Thank you,

Yes I was in pain and I'm very appreciative of the good work Bollinger canyon dental did to my mouth. I am not upset with the work but upset with the hidden fees that I was unaware of .I am 100% aware of the type of coverage I have but what I did not know is that when I asked Bollinger canyon dental if my office visit is 100% covered that they were lying to me because they knew they charged premier prices and my insurance only covers normal dental fees not outrageous premier ones. Bollinger canyon dental was the one who personally called to verify my insurance and what is covers so how is it that they forgot to mention that I'm that yes I'm covered but that I was later on after my visit going to be billed separately for there charges it's very fishy to me. I also would like to point out that at the time of pay after my work was done I was UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF MEDICATION so how was I suppose to know exactly what I am signing?? If that's how they get people to sign then maybe I should actually sue then because that sounds illegal to me . What I signed before my procedure was solely disclosures about the work being done and I have a witness who was with me at the time of my visits to Bollinger canyon dental. If I owed more money why didn't I get charged that day it's plain and simple there is no way around how they are stating I signed papers,I was aware of what I was going to pay and everything else they are trying to say to get out of this ..it's just not right at all.

We are fully aware of our responsibilities as a dental practice and make sure we serve our patients the best we can. We have a signed consent of the patient on a day previous to the date of the work done. She came on 05/04/15 and after the doctor completed the exam, he gave her the financial breakdown which he had her sign before we setup an appointment the next day for the work that needed to be done. I can produce the document that has her signatures with date (one day prior to the work done)as well as our fees which are neither hidden nor have been changed.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I would like all the documents sent via email to prove all what you are saying. I have my husband as a witness everytime I came to the office. I refuse to argue back and forth I want all documentation and I will be going to the next level to clear this situation. [redacted]@aol.com forward all your docs
