It is true there was a trouble alarm on my key pad which is why I called Bolt Security in the first placeThey did indeed send a technician the next week who relayed to me we had no connection to a central station which was a total shock to us!How did no one NOT discover this at Bolt in all that time!We had the service for close to years - were cell phones even a common provider then?If I was to read and understand the contract agreed upon at that time, I had no idea about the differences in phone providers!years I paid my fees for nothing ! I asked for the remaining time on this year's fees which any business would refund to a consumer! I thought at least that was fair ! was deniedHow can I be charged for January - May when I no longer have the service? I thought Bolt was a reputable company! I would NOT recommend them to any consumer searching for a security company! [redacted]

They did indeed send a technician the next week  who relayed to me we had no connection to a central station which was a total shock to us!How did no one NOT discover this at Bolt in all that time!We had the service for close to 19 years - were cell phones even a common provider then?If I was to read and understand the contract agreed upon at that time, I had no idea about the differences in phone providers!2 years I paid my fees for nothing ! I asked for the remaining time on this year's fees which any business would refund to a consumer! I thought at least that was fair ! was denied. How can I be charged for January - May 2017 when I no longer have the service? I thought Bolt was a reputable company!  I would NOT recommend them to any consumer searching for a security company![redacted]

As I have clearly stated in my previous response that Bolt doesn't monitor phone lines and or the customers phone services.  It's the responsibility of the customer to notify Bolt of any changes to their phone service provider and or phone services.  We received a phone call on January 20th 2017 from Mrs. [redacted] and this was first of our knowledge that that there was a problem with changes to their phone lines and services. So with that being said we will offer a refund of $87.80 for the months of January thru April 2017 to resolve this Revdex.com complaint.

First off with regards to Mr. [redacted] changing phone companies two years ago, Bolt doesn't monitor customers land lines or when customers change phone companies or services.  It clearly states in the signed Monitoring Agreement that Mr. [redacted] signed with Bolt.  Section 12 TRANSMISSION...

LINES:  Subscriber acknowledges that if the signals from the system are transmitted over Subscribers regular telephone lines, that in the event subscribers telephone is out of order, disconnected, placed on vacation or otherwise interupted, signals from the system will not be received at the monitoring facility during any such interuption is the telephone service and the interuption will not be known to Bolt. Also, Mr. [redacted] alarm system has a trouble light on his keypad that indicates when the test signal doesn't go through on his alarm system so it will notify the subscriber when the Test Signal hasn't been transmitted to the central monitoring facility.  Mr. [redacted]'s alarm system control panel and actually no alarm system on the market today is designed to work over VOIP (voice over internet protocal) transmission lines from Verizon or anyother service provider.  Unfortunately Bolt will not offer this customer a refund for the unused months of monitoring for something we don't warrant or guarantee from the monitoring agreement that Mr. [redacted] signed when his system was activated with us.  We obliged by coming out to check his phone lines and discuss the honest truth about his Verizon VOIP services and we too didn't charge Mr. [redacted] for a service call when they asked us to come out to check out there phone lines. When Mrs. [redacted] called to discuss this with me several weeks ago she never asked or even mentioned for a credit for their what happend with the subscriber changing phone services.  I expained to Mrs. [redacted] as I just expained with the same explaination listed above. She told me that she would discuss this with her husband.
