Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: Complaint: 11109738I am rejecting this response because:Mr [redacted] - Keeps referencing that a change of scope occurredWe have a three story home that needed speakers installed, three televisions, and audioHow much can change from that? Mr [redacted] is obviously upset because we chose not to use him to install a television mountWe originally thought we'd go with one mount, then with much advanced notice told him we were going with another tv mountThis is the ONLY thing that changed in the scope of work.- I am in the real estate business and deal with contractors on a daily basisI have NEVER filed a complaint against anyone in my lifeNeverAlso, almost all of my contractors have been with me for over ten years on dozens and dozens of jobsMost of these contractors have become so close with me that we attend family events togetherI have over tenants, and when it comes time for the tenants to vacate, MOST come to me and thank me for being such a nice and caring landlord and ask if I have a larger space for them because they want to keep me as a landlordFinally, the relationships I have in business are lifelong, this would not be possible if I was 10% of the person Mr [redacted] is attempting to paint me as.- Assuming Mr [redacted] is correct (which he is not) even if I was the worst person in the world (am not) and even if the job was changed a hundred times (was not), Mr [redacted] only uses these as excuses to cover up and refuse to answer why a job on the contract that was supposed to take 5-days to complete has not been completed in months!! Again, he has used so many excuses not to finish the work that he has literally ran out of "the dog ate my homework" excusesIf Mr [redacted] denies this, our neighbor has been waiting on him for almost the same amount of time to finish up his job so the comment about him never receiving a complaint just isn't trueHe picked up his stuff and ran out to Arizona to run away from his problems here!- I have NEVER dealt with someone more dishonest in my lifeThe ONLY time I began to get upset and "belittle" him was only after I woke up one day, months later, and had enough of his liesThe previous months I patiently accepted every excuse of him being sick, out of town, at another job, at his kid's baseball games, losing an employee, etcI have never treated anyone with anything other than respect- We rejected him sending one of his employees because he said HIMSELF, the employee won't be able to finish everything, so why send him?- We have reason to believe that he left because he incorrectly hooked up our master bedroom speakers, which were supposed to be hooked up to the tvI hope we are wrong and ask that he respond to this in detail so we can indeed have a third party correct or finish this.- So, how to put this behind us? I am talking to someone that can pick up the pieces you've left here and I will drop my complaint if you can answer the following for me....1) Are the wires in the master bedroom a straight run to the box in the basement, or is there a secondary breakout point?2) Please explain how to connect the bedroom speakers in the wall to the tvThank you,Terry Sincerely, Terry [redacted]

Well here we are again, where Mr [redacted] fails to acknowledge him changing the scope of work and even signing the proposal acknowledging that some things may change on thefinal systemAs you can see, he has contacted a 3rd party to see what was left, which very minimalAt this point, I would recommend Mr [redacted] find another company to finish the few remaining items and use the monies owed Bolt Systems to pay for itAll of the equipment necessary is on site and the additional equipment needed would be charged extra to him anyway, as the scope did change You can see he doesn't feel he wants our company there and without a guarantee of payment due for work completed, I have no interest in returning to his home He is, as I stated in my last response, a belittling and condescending homeowner who thinks everyone should fall to his every beck and callThere is WAY too much to delve into about his demeanor and expectations of what people who do work for him have to endure with the verbal abusivenessit is best that he seek an alternative option to wrap up his minor open issues and maybe another company could satisfy him I highly doubt it though based on my experience with him and by the way, our company has thousands of satisfied customers and have never had ONE complaint filed against our company is 15+ years.Thank you,Jim [redacted]

Let me first start off by asking the questionwhat does me wearing a cross as a sign of my faith have to do with anything about this job? Mr*** is quite frankly a man who belittles and talks down to every tradesman that has worked for him at his townhome projectI have experienced this
first hand, as he has done it to me alsoHe accused me of making too much profit on a product that he personally specified, told me how much another company would charge him and when I gave him a fair price (about $300-less than he was quoted), he accused me of "ripping him off"!! Every since that time, he has been rude and more demanding and wanting my company to do things outside the project scope, at my expense. He is correct, we have moved to Arizona to expand our business, but never once have I maintained that I would not be back to finish the minor things that need to be completed, despite Mr***'s change in scope of workWhile he says that he has not, that is in fact a LIEI have offered to make the adjustments to his system and after waiting on him to make his decision for no less than months, I had already started the process to relocate to Arizona. Since then, I have been back times to rectify and finish the scope of work and after the last time, found out that since he deviated from the type of mounting bracket that would accommodate his speaker bar and specified we use, we had to use a different piece of equipment that was not in stock and had to orderedI understand it has been some time, but have also been delayed on his part, not my canceling any appointments as he mentions in his complaint. What I have conveyed to Mr***, is that I would come and finish the project, but did not have a time slated to come back into town at the moment they were asking forI also offered to have my technician who is working in Chicago, come and install the hardware needed and Mr*** could use the remaining funds OWED **, Inc to have the system final programmed. He has refused this optionI will not complete the project unless Mr*** agrees in writing to pay the balance due/outstanding once we are 100% completeI also will need until the end of March to return to Chicago to be able to wrap his project.I await his response and agreement to make final payment in writing.Thank you,Jim ***-President BS, Inc

Well here we are again, where Mr. [redacted] fails to acknowledge him changing the scope of work and even signing the proposal acknowledging that some things may change on thefinal system. As you can see, he has contacted a 3rd party to see what was left, which very minimal. At this point, I would recommend Mr. [redacted] find another company to finish the few remaining items and use the monies owed Bolt Systems to pay for it. All of the equipment necessary is on site and the additional equipment needed would be charged extra to him anyway, as the scope did change.  You can see he doesn't feel he wants our company there and without a guarantee of payment due for work completed, I have no interest in returning to his home.  He is, as I stated in my last response, a belittling and condescending homeowner who thinks everyone should fall to his every beck and call. There is WAY too much to delve into about his demeanor and expectations of what people who do work for him have to endure with the verbal abusiveness. it is best that he seek an alternative option to wrap up his minor open issues and maybe another company could satisfy him.  I highly doubt it though based on my experience with him.  and by the way, our company has thousands of satisfied customers and have never had ONE complaint filed against our company is 15+ years.Thank you,Jim [redacted]
