I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Having had three separate fiberglass repair people evaulate the defect, the consensus is unanimous; it is a maunfacturing defect. The hull has delaminated all the way to the stern, which could not be caused by water intrusion. A manufacturing defect remains just that, regardless of time elapsed

Mr*** thoughts on our response are understandable For the damage to surface on the same day he purchased it is unfortunateThe limited warranty had long-since expired when he bought it With the boat being outside of BRP's contrrol for more than eleven years, there is not any assistance that we can provide to him

As stated previously, I understand the warranty is expired and also understand it is the lynchpin of your defense. However, this is a safety issue at the manufacturing level, which I would assume extends through the life of the vehicle, at least if using the auto industry as a model
If you intend to not back your product despite the serious implications it can have, I will have no choice but to pursue this in a more public forum to ascertain if a class action is plausible

To whom it may concern,
This...

is in response to Mr.
Lustig's complaint regarding the 2001 Sea-Doo 1800 Challenger boat he purchased
on July 5, 2014 and about which he noticed a partial delamination in the keel area of the hull.  A possible cause for the concern is it started as a very small breach through the gelcoat.  Over time, water was forced into the breach which created a larger and larger void until the day a section separated from hull.
The limited warranty for this boat was 12 mos., except
for the deck and hull fiberglass structure, which were covered for sixty consecutive
months.   The boat was originally sold in April 2002.  The
sixty-month warranty expired in April 2007.  Due to this fact, BRP will be unable to assist Mr. [redacted] with the cost of the repairs.
We understand this is not the answer Mr. [redacted] was hoping for.  However, we're confident that he understand the reason for the decision.
