To respond to this complaint we will be stating what we have discussed many times with Mr*** Let me just summarize with hopes that we can come to a mutual agreeable conclusion It is true that we contracted with Mr*** and Mrs*** *** to install a geothermal system that also was
integral to his domestic water heatingThe more geothermal system would be a ground loop geo system and that was the original design intent but Mr*** wanted to use, in his words the best well in the county which can produce plus gallons per minute of water, or more commonly named a pump and dump well systemThis flow rate is greater than we needed as the geo system requires some to gpm leaving plenty for his domestic usageThis flow rate claim was questioned many on many occasions and by multiple people and the answer by Mr*** always was emphatic that the well was good for it .We did not check that fact and this is were we are in errorWell we went on trying to balance the need for his domestic use and geo use which caused the first installed unit to failWe then installed another under warrantyThis is when it was recognized that when his multi head shower ran or lawn watering etc would run at the same time as the geo that the geo would trip off on low limitsWe did have geothermal experts in the industry come to the site to see if we could determine a way to make the existing condition performBoth concluded that the flow rate would have to change or storage or go to a ground loop system in order for the system to work and maintain the domestic volumes When recognizing this we proposed the following options to remedy the situation install a buffer tank and pump install the ground loop that was originally thought of test and install the correct well piping and well pump that I believe Mr *** thought he Purchased from his well provider Mr*** and Mrs*** agreed to have the ground loop installed; he would cover the excavation, back fill and lawn restorationWe TAG would install the loop piping and pumping systemWhen the excavator reviewed the site rock was discovered and the cost would be prohibitive to this remedyThis is when Mr*** wanted the system removed, which we agreed to doHe originally made a $paymentAnd then a second $credit card payment and after some weeks he reversed it out of our account without a dispute claim which would have been the correct wayHe is in that business so I guess he has that ability to circumvent procedureHe would like his first $payment refunded. I disagree with this as my company was not in complete fault with this system not being able to work properly so Mr *** should incur some costs for the well failurePlus we offer solutions to allow the system to run as intended and for TAG to incur still more costsI did offer to refund $of the $as I feel this dollar amount is what I would have spent getting his system switched to a ground loop.In trying to work this out, with Mr***, we agreed when we would remove all equipment that had been installedand leave the heating system ready to receive an owner furnished and installed furnace. He also would not be vocal nor use social media to defame TAGTo date that has not occurred.I would very much like to put this situation behind us and am open for conversation Respectfully Steve ***

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.First and foremost there are many lies in Mr. [redacted] response.  It was Court [redacted]  VP of Tag who convinced us to use the open loop or "pump and dump" as the closed loop system was cost prohibitive.  I NEVER said our well was the best in the county nor did I say it can produce 30 gallons per minute.   I had no clue how many gallons our well could produce.  I always said before this horrible nightmare with Tag, that our well could handle normal household uses, including showering in multiple bathrooms, running the dishwasher, doing laundry and even watering the yard all at the same time.    It was actually [redacted] Well Service who came over twice to meet with Tag's Techs and I believe with Mr. [redacted] and told him that the size of the pump is rated for 30 gallons per minute.   It was 1 1/2 years later that Mr. [redacted] and his experts finally figured out it was the pipe size that restricted the water flow to a rate that wouldn't handle normal house hold uses along with heating or cooling our home.   Also, I never said "that the well was good for it"   In Mr. [redacted] own words on his response "We did not check that fact and this is were we are in error".  This error on not finding out the well pipe size is the complete ineptness and lack of due diligence on Mr. [redacted], Court [redacted] and his technicians.  My wife and I are not mechanical engineers nor are we experts in heating and cooling systems.  Another fabrication from Mr. [redacted] is that we agreed to pay for the excavation and back fill for the closed loop system.   This was never discussed by anyone at Tag with us.   The only item we agreed to was to restore the landscaping.  However the excavator hired by Tag after one  bucket hit bedrock and the closed loop system was not feasible.   Another fabrication from Mr. [redacted] is the time line on when we wanted the system out we wanted it out over a year ago and were very vocal about it, however Tag wanted to try to make it work.As far as the payments go we made two $7000 payments totaling $14,000 in good faith to two different credit cards, one a MasterCard and one an American Express. Another misrepresentation of the truth and extremely offensive is that I'm in the business of credit card processing and  I circumvented the system to get $7000 back.   Obviously Mr. [redacted] is completely ignorant of how disputes work with credit cards.   We both filed disputes respectively, [redacted] card was out of the time frame for a dispute and MasterCard could not refund her $7000.  I also disputed my charge with AMEX and it was within the time period and my $7000 was refunded as nobody from Tag replied to the dispute.   Again, due to Tag's ineptness and lack of due diligence to make sure a $24,000 open loop or closed system would work before starting the project we would not be at this point 2 years later.  We are the ones that have been completely inconvenienced.   Now Mr. [redacted] thinks that $7000 paid in good faith he wants to keep  $4500 for and in his words  "whatever you want to call it"  It is absurd.   We also told Mr. [redacted] on many occasions and other staff of Tag that we would forgive the other $1700 that we had to pay for restoration of the landscaping that Court [redacted] said in his own words "we will restore it to its original condition" at the time we originally met with Court for the initial install. We want our $7000 deposit and holding tank back and then and only then can Tag get their equipment. Also I have not used social media as of yet and the people I have talked to were told the truth about this 2 year disaster with not only Mr. [redacted] but his companyRegards,[redacted]
