Bonded Services Corporation Reviews (3)

On Friday August 8th our crew went to the customer’s home to perform carpet cleaning and
linoleum cleaning as discussed in the estimate provided before our arrival. The wife of the
home was there to observe the cleaning and signed off on the satisfactory completion of work
line on our...

tickets. She did however mention to the crew that the floor looked “dull” compared
to what it was before and called me the following week to address the issue.
I went out to look at the kitchen floor and did notice a slight dulling in lust the main traffic lanes
on the floor in the kitchen but the remaining areas retained there shine as it was prior to the
cleaning. The linoleum floor In question is over 15 years old and I explained that due to the
age of the floor some of the finish may have dulled from the cleaning. I tried on two different
occasions to buff and restore the shine on the floors and both times the wife of the home said
it looked “much better” before we left the premises. It wasn’t until a few days later that the
husband called back and said he wasn’t happy with the results. At this point I advised him that I
would have to notify my insurance company of the issue and I sent a flooring installer over to
get an estimate to provide for the insurance company.
We were advised that the claim could not be processed due to negligence on our part (after I
explained the dulling from the machine). I have since written a check to the homeowners for
$681.00 which reimburses their full amount for the floor and the carpet cleaning ($181) as well
as $500.00 towards a new kitchen floor, With regards to the mud in the carpet, the first time I
heard about this aspect of the complaint was in the letter I received from the Revdex.com.
I have expressed my sincerest apologies to the customer but we feel that due to the age of the
floor in question we have made a generous effort to rectify the situation.

I was advised by the Revdex.com  that without pictures before and after , it will be hard to prove the damage done. It is unfortunate that businesses that you put your trust into can virtually do whatever they want to and not take responsibility for their actions. This has been a learning experience that will now force me to take pictures before and after any task I have completed by an outside contractor. I also would like to comment on some of the things said in the letter from Bonded Services that are misleading. My wife signed off on the job initially because the Bonded Service Corp employees pressured her. She expressed her concern that the floor was not acceptable, but they said it would look fine once it dried. In regards to the initial condition of the floor my wife meticulously waxed that floor twice a year since we had the house built , so the floor was in exceptional condition. It was not a typical old linoleum floor. The true cause of this issue was that Bonded used a new machine (never tested on linoleum) that was also not cleaned prior to using it on our floors. [redacted] himself said they had just got this machine and we would be the first to have this machine used on our floors. Being that their insurance company found them to be negligent ,that resulted in them not paying for the floor is proof that Bonded Services Corp. was in fact negligent in their actions. Apparently negligence does not garner responsibility when it comes to Bonded Services Corp. I am not going to proceed with any further action as this is another example of a business being able to do whatever they want and not taking responsibility for their negligent actions. Yesterday [redacted] from Bonded Services Corp gave my wife a check for the $681.00 he had referenced in his letter. My wife ask me to please just conclude this issue so we can move on, so I reluctantly will for her.

Review: I hired Bonded Services to clean my linoleum floors as well as my carpets. [redacted] from Bonded said that they had acquired a new machine that he would use on the linoleum floors that would make them look like new. He said that it was new and he would use it on our floors. Well he did just that and what he ended up doing was scratching them, taking the finish off and pushing the dirt deep into the linoleum. The machine used was so dirty that it put scratches in the floor. After complaining to [redacted] , He had the guys come back and put a finish on the linoleum floors. His employees , believe it or not didn't even mop the floors, they applied the finish right over the dirt on the floors. The finish took in some spots and didn't in others. We again complained and [redacted] said he would have a new kitchen floor put in for us if he came back and it was still not fixed. He sent his team a 3rd time and they again didn't clean the floor before using a machine to try and clean it again. At this point the floor looks much worse than when he started. We asked him about his claim to replace our carpet and he even had us go to a flooring company to pick out the flooring. [redacted] called a couple days later and [redacted] said he could not replace the floor as his insurance company said they would not pay for a new floor as it was negligence on their part. Also my wife was cleaning a spot off the freshly cleaned carpets and found mud in the carpets. They used a dirty machine to clean the carpets too. This company is not a company you want in your home as they are reckless and definitely do not stand behind their shoddy workmanship.Desired Settlement: They should refund the original cost of the services and replace the kitchen flooring as their company representative ([redacted]) said they would. We did not demand that they replace all the linoleum , even though it was all adversely affected by their services being performed. I believe this is a reasonable resolve.
