Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Granite Management charged the carpet replacement of all four bedrooms where two bedrooms' carpets were shown no evidence of needing to be replacement. The same with the wall. They claimed that we damaged the wall but we believed the wall's condition is under normal wear and tear. The inspection video is here: http://youtu.[redacted]. We hope Revdex.com can look into this video and make some judgements based on this. Also, one of our roommates actually moved from the other unit (#3) in the same building last summer to this unit(#11). When he moved out, he got charged over $1000 of his security deposit too. And Granite gave similar reasons to charge his security deposit as how Granite charged us. That's why we suspect Granite Management did this to a lot student tenants by charging a ridiculous high amount of security deposit. We ask that the Revdex.com look into this company, not just for our issue but also for the future tenants. Regards,[redacted]

My name is Joel [redacted] and I am the manager at Granite Management, LLC. This letter is in response to the aforementioned complaint number and the accusations enclosed in the...

complaint submitted by Ningning [redacted].
In order to help eliminate subjectivity when processing security deposits, we take a video inspection of every unit the day after the tenants move out. Our inspectors have no incentive tied to these inspections, as Ms. [redacted] assumes. The video for their unit reveals an apartment that was left in a state of disrepair. We have answered all of the tenants questions, but the issue is that they don't like or agree with our answers. As she stated, in an effort to be fair through a process that can be somewhat subjective, we reduced the charges for cleaning and painting costs, and additionally only charged them 50% of the total bill for carpet replacement to account for normal wear and tear. We believe we have tried to work with the customer fairly and reasonably, but this is a matter of not being able to agree on what that is—it is most assuredly not a matter of Granite "prey[ing] on their tenants."
Kind Regards,

John and his Bone Dry crew were very professional and delivered what he promised. There were no surprises and my wife and I were very pleased with their work, including the preparation and clean up, all of which was outstanding! Outside, we could barely tell they had dug up the ground for a drainage ditch by the time they wrapped up! Inside, they took the time to cover up our belongings in the room (in addition to what we had already done), including ceiling fans and a cornice we had over looked, along with sealing off the room to contain any dust from the rest of the house. We are very pleased with this company and would recommend them for anyone experiencing a wet or damp basement. In the last six years, we've had several contractors in our home.
