Bone Dry Roofing - Columbus

I am responding to the complaint filed by [redacted] *** Bone Dry Roofing did install her roof as she and Bone Dry agreed upon in August of While she is correct there were a few issues that arose during and after all, of them were treated in a professional manner and her roof system was delivered as agreed upon Our supplier forgot to deliver a vent product and the roof was installed without it Bone Dry Roofing did what was correct and came back and installed the product as agreed upon and then replaced shingles that were scuffed all the way around the venting as we should have during the initial installation We did this at a greater expense to our company without any disagreement because this is what should have been done and it was the correct thing to do for the consumer In addition [redacted] said that one of the crew members were drinking during their lunch break She herself did not see this but said it was seen from someone who resided with her I am in no place to dispute that, I was not there but I can say that it is not a practice that happens on Bone Dry job sites due to safety, etc When I questioned the crew they produced both bottles and cans of soda and tea beverages that were labeled of Mexican origin as they were Hispanic None of them admitted to drinking on the jobsite[redacted] also complained of some debris left behind, its not our practice and an apology was made Because of the concerns she expressed, I went and purchased her a gift certificate to [redacted] Pizza for any inconvenience we may have caused to her Her roof system still was put on as agreed upon and is warranted not only by Bone Dry Roofing but also Owens Corning, as with any of our customers we will be there to address any concerns she has if needed in the future.With respect to her screened door, We made every attempt to install her door to her satisfaction I believe we had different doors out there Issues with the door were manufacturing and the fact that her main door frame is not square She conveyed that to me in a conversation that the previous storm door company had difficulties installing that one We did manage to get one door installed fairly square but it left a gap at the bottom of where the sweep is So I agreed to credit her a cost part of the door and try another door Well, that was not done to her satisfaction and I ended up crediting the total owed for the door which was $I believe [redacted] then sent an email stating that she wanted a refund of $225, that was requested from our corporate office a month ago and this was communicated to *** When I did so, she then mentioned that she sent a letter to the Owner of Bone Dry Roofing.I asked Gene about this and he said he never received a letter, it was actually mailed to a wrong suite number at our office in Hilliard I know this because I asked [redacted] to forward me the letterAt any rate, that's when I saw [redacted] was requesting 1/3rd of her roof cost back I will find out form our corporate office if a check was ever mailed to [redacted] as I agreed to have done for $for her door As far as refunding 1/3rd the price of her roof, we will not do so [redacted] received everything that we agreed to provide to her and she has a great roofing system In fairness though, I have asked [redacted] a couple of times when she would like me to come out and remove the door we installed since she is unhappy with it, to date she has not asked for that or respondedRespectfully, Andy G [redacted]

This is in response to the letter written by Andy G [redacted] from Bone Dry Roofing dated 9-21- In his letter, Andy indicated that their supplier “forgot to deliver a vent product, and the roof was installed without it.” While it’s true that the roof was installed on 8-9-15, without the vent product, I must point out that Andy was misleading on why it wasn’t delivered In actuality, he forgot to order it when he initially placed the order They were not installed until 8-14-I was able to identify which crew member was drinking during their lunch break and reported that information to Andy on 8-14- I informed him that my son described the bottle of beer he sawAlso, I informed Andy that I found two Corona bottle caps that I located on my lawn near the one of the crew’s truck after their lunch breakAndy did speak with the crew, almost a week later and the crew member admitted this information to Andy and he stated this information to me.In regards to the screen door, I have not received a check to dateI have never received any documentation that would indicate that my screen door was creditedOne strong selling point for me was their company paid special attention to cleaning up the debris left from this type of job I’ve already supplied to the Revdex.com several pictures of the debris from my lawn (and my neighbor’s lawns), debris left in the attic, and pictures of the poorly fitted screen doorIn my complaint letter to the Revdex.com, I indicated that the shingles were not hammered in by hand, which was one of the main reasons I chose their companyInstead, the crew used air nailers Another point stressed to me was there would have a supervisor on site to assist with any issues that arise during my roof installSince they did not deliver on all these items as agreed upon, how can I be ensured that I will be provided with appropriate warranty workmanship for the next years
