Bone Dry does not understand the "falling apart" comment or the statement that we refuse to repair the section We replaced most of the roof We were also hired to paint two areas of the roof, which we did When one turned out to have a leak, we replaced that area and repainted it
The paint later peeled/chipped Bone Dry returned and scraped and repainted the area It is chipping/peeling again Bone Dry has offered to return and scrape/prime/paint the area again one last time, and has also offered to have the homeowner have a painting company look at the area and discuss options at that time

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/01/16) */
On January 5th Mr. [redacted] called into our customer service line.
Stated he had experienced a leak from the record rainfall recently. On the same day Production Manger went to the residence and did a thorough inspection of the area and...

determined that the roofing and flashing in that area was installed correctly and was not the cause of his leak. Mr. [redacted] explained to the Manager that he had been on the roof and noticed several pieces of loose siding during the rain and that he took it upon himself during the rain to relocate two pieces of j-channel in the area.
Our Manager explained to Mr. [redacted] that whomever installed the siding did not install the proper amount of fasteners and that is why the siding was loose. Which in return allowed the moisture behind the siding therefore bypassing the step flashing and that Bone Dry Roofing did not loosen or remove any siding during the installation of the roof in 2012. It is not standard practice to remove siding during a remodeling project in order to install new step flashing. It is tucked up under the j-channel during that process and does not consist of the removal of any siding.
January 13th Mr [redacted] again called into our office and the Production Manager returned his call within 30 minutes and explained to him that he has discussed the situation with the General Manager and based on our findings the cause of his issue was from poorly installed siding which Bone Dry Roofing did not install or would be responsible for. His immediate response was to threaten a complaint on Revdex.com for which the Manager stated he would have his General Manager give him a call.
Within 30 minutes [redacted], General Manager reached out to discuss the situation with Mr. [redacted]. A voice mail was left. Mr. [redacted] returned my call within 2-hours. Again, I explained that his issue was poorly installed siding from the installers who worked for the builder and not Bone Dry Roofing.
However, a offer to come out at no cost to reattach the siding for him was refused. WE stipulated that we accepted no responsibility now or in the future for the siding or the interior damage since we were only assisting him in good faith and customer service. Again the offer was refused.
In regards to the gable vent the homeowner refused our covering of the gable vent during the roof install in 2012 because of his concerns that we might damage his drywall by walking in the attic and stated he was well versed in what needed to be done because he was a engineer. He would take care of it.
In 2012 we were asked my Mr. [redacted] during the roof install to assist him with a piece of j-channel in the same area that had zero fasteners installed by the original installers. We did so at no cost to assist him and as a courtesy. And at that time we communicated with him that we could only tuck it up under the siding to help him out and that we could not remove the siding for him.
We again offer to assist him with the siding at no cost. However, accept no responsibility for the siding or the interior work which is a result of poor installation techniques by the installers of the builder.
Our corporate office as also reached out to him through his wife's Facebook complaint. To extend the same offer.
As Mr. [redacted] is aware of. There were a couple unfortunate incidents during the roof install in 2012. We accepted responsibility of those incidents and took care of his concerns immediately and without question.
Unfortunately, this incident is not a result of Bone Dry Roofing's poor installation of the roof or lack of quick response to his concerns.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The issue with the dead valley has been a problem since the home was purchased in 2009.  It may have been just the roofing/dead valley, or the siding next to the dead valley may or may not have been contributing at that time.  Bone Dry mentioned 2014 because that is when we were contacted subsequent to the roof being installed in 2012.  Bone Dry fixed the roof portion of the dead valley; if not, it would have leaked after the first good rain but certainly within months of the roof being installed.   Bone Dry did not change the siding next to the dead valley, and the roof was replaced pursuant to an insurance claim.  Attached are the contract, order confirmation and insurance documents, none of which say anything about replacing the siding.Bone Dry has had several employees inspect the home since the roof was installed.  All have said the debris that accumulated in the dead valley has caused further deterioration of the siding, which is now leaking.  While that is the only area apparently leaking, the siding deterioration is evident around the house.  The customers have insisted that Bone Dry now fix the siding for free, saying it was or should have been part of the original job.  It was not part of the original job.  If Bone Dry had proposed to replace siding originally, we would have charged for it, and that has been our position all along.  It was not part of the contract and would not have been free then, so it would not be free now.Bone Dry's general manager discussed this with Mr. Thompson on or about December 8, 2014, (after the last employee visit to their house) when Mr. Thompson indicated the siding was part of the roof claim.  The general manager's email of that date reads:[redacted]As discussed, please send me a copy of the letters/documents your insurance company sent to you when they reviewed the problem you are having with the flashing/siding.  My fax is 513.984.0359 if that is easier.  Thanks.
[redacted] never responded, and Bone Dry assumed he located the paperwork and realized the siding was not part of the job.  The Revdex.com complaint is the first communication Bone Dry received after the 12/9/14 email.  At this point, Bone Dry does not want to do the siding work, even if paid.
