We contacted this company to have our patio redone because the drainage that was originally installed was done poorlyWhen first meeting with *** he was very kind and he had the same idea to resolve the issue that we were thinkingHe was very personable and easy to talk to and relate toNonetheless, after we confirmed that we are going to go with him and this company to complete our job things started to change with the scope of work that he was wanting to doIt started out that we were just going to put in a new drainage pipe and redo the piping on the side of the houseHe sent up a quote for the scope of workWe reviewed it and changed things that we didn't wantThen he came out again to review what we took off and what we were going to do exactlyAt this time he suggested that we might want to go ahead and just redo the whole patioWe discussed it among ourselves and decided that it was not needed at this timeWe informed him and we were just going to go with the original planHe sent us a revise scope of work quote for the drainage for the patio, the side yard drainage, and the drainage for the basement windowsWe reviewed this and requested that he send us a detailed contract to sign and send back so that there were no sudden surprises or changes after they started workingWe understand that things come up that are unexpected but we wanted to make sure to cover our bases so that if or when something come up they would have to get our approval before proceedingWe wait a week, maybe a little more, and never got our detailed contract to signI called Phil back and got the run around that he had been thinking about our job and he doesn't think that it will work because of the way the patio is slantedHowever, that it completely untrue because as he mention at his two visits and the other contractors that we had come out and survey noted the patio is slanted away from the house and then slanted towards the drainI had my husband call him because I knew that he was trying to give me the run aroundSo when my husband talked to him he gave the same excuse pressuring us to replace the whole patio when it doesn't need to be completely replacedBy the end of their conversation *** told him that he doesn't want to do the job anymoreI find this to be very poor businessReeling us in with a job and then trying to trick us into doing a more expensive job and when we decide we didn't want to do the more expensive job he backs out and leaves us with nothing
