I received your complaint from *** *** To address his concerns I will start with pictures on our website, they are generic open source storage unit photosOur Facebook pages have live, current pics of our unitsThe addresses on our website and our facebook pages are all correctThe
unit he moved into is on Old Hwy not Barlow and Smith as he stated in his complaintGoogle does have an incorrect address that we have been working to fix but that is a Google issue not our issue and unfortunately I can't just change itWe did tell *** we would refund his money due to the misunderstanding on the address but that was under the premise that he would not be using the unitOnce he chose to use the unit, now knowing where it was located, we did not and do not feel obligated to refund any portion of his rentHe opted to keep the unit that was in a different locationBy offering him a refund if he moved out, we felt we addressed the confusionBy choosing to stay he accepted the location as it wasAs for the lock, it is listed when he paid as a lock fee not a lock depositThe security deposit is called just that, a deposit, implying that it will be refunded upon moving out provided he gives proper notice and leaves the unit swept cleanPlease let me know if you have any further concerns.Thank you,*** ***

I received your letter todayClearly Mr *** is not satisfied with his stayHe references his contract in multiple pointsHe states because the address is incorrect that the contract is void, but he does not state the following directly from his contract,"GENERAL. This lease does not create any agreement between Operator and you other than that of lessor and lesseeOperator may take legal action against your property if you default, even if Operator does not take legal action because of earlier defaults by youOperator may change the terms of this lease including termination if it gives you thirty (30) days noticeThis lease cannot be assigned or transferred to anyone without the written approval of Operator. If any portion of this lease is illegal or invalid, the remaining parts are valid and enforceable." This covers the address being mistakenly invalid but does make it clear that the other parts are valid and enforceableAs for his move out he did not give days written notice, per his contract. "CANCELLATION. If you want to cancel this contract you must notify Operator in writing thirty days before the day of the month your next payment is dueUnless you cancel the Agreement, you agree to make your monthly payment for the next monthRentals are not accepted for partial months."This should result in the loss of security depositI will get him moved out and inspect the unitI will, provided it is clean and swept, refund his deposit and the lock fee (which we do not normally do)I will also refund his May rent even though he did not follow the contract and provide this day written notice. As for pictures and maps, I apologize if the Google map was incorrect and caused you an initial inconvenience and if the colors or styles of the units was misleading based on the picturesThe addresses that appear on our website have not changed, they are correct as they have beenThe terms in Line of your contract that I see list the deposit as $I am not sure where you see the $0? But if there was confusion I do apologize, again if the unit is found clean you will get the deposit back even though you did not give the required day notice.In summary, I will retrieve the keys from the Minnow Bucket today, and inspect the unitUpon verification that unit is clean and swept I refund, via check, the $deposit and the $lock feeI will have the $May rent fee charged to your account reversedBecause of the confusion the client felt, Mr *** will receive a total of $146, which based on his original contract, he would not be entitled toI will then consider this matter closed.Thank you,*** ***

Don't put generic open source storage unit photos on your websiteIt is deceptive, false, and misleading.If you don't have live, current pics of your units don't put any pics on your website at all.If you have live, current pics on your Facebook page, why can't/don't you put them on your website? The addresses on your website are correct now, but they were not correct when I first rented the unit.Then - Triple Q Mini Storage Ware St., Now - King Storage Ware St. If Google does have incorrect addresses, Google maps on your website, why do you have them on your website in the first place?It is not a Google issue, it is a Waupaca Self Storage. Don't blame them for your mistake. If they are wrong, remove them from your website, plan and simple. Why wouldn't I use the unit? I paid $(truck rental, movers) to move into the unit. Why would I want to spend another $to move out of the unit right away? As for the lock and keys, nowhere on your website in general and nowhere in your "QQQ Storage Agreement" specifically does it say anything about lock and keys (fee/deposit). I returned your lock and keys to the Minnow Bucket after I vacated the unit on 4/30/18. As for a security deposit, it is listed in the "QQQ Storage Agreement" as: Terms, Security Deposit $0.00.So I shouldn't have been charged a security deposit of $at all. I never agreed to or authorized an automatic withdrawal from my checking account for monthly payments.Again, this is not found anywhere on your website or in your agreement. You are not allowed to do this without my knowledge or permission. From the beginning of March I told you several times by phone that I was only renting the unit for two months.But still you debited my checking account for $68, for May. I have contacted my bank to stop/refund this payment. I checked the box that, "I have read and agreed to the "QQQ Storage Agreement." Triple Q Mini Storage ECty Q, Waupaca, Wisconsin. This is not the location of the unit that I rented. Making this agreement null and void.I never read and agreed to the "QQQ Storage Agreement" for the location I rented, NOld Highway 22.So I have never agreed to anything.
