This company charges by the hour for moving expenses. Because of this, on the day of the move, this company purposely moved slowly in moving items equivalent to a 3-bedroom apartment. It took them close to 2 hours to wrap items before they moved it to the truck. Some of the workers were standing around, or moving small items at a time to the truck. It took them 6 hours to get me moved, costing $960! This company totally took advantage of me and the fact that I had no help getting moved. Plus they brought a small truck that could not fit all of my items!

Per customer's comments, we do charge by the hour for moving services and this price structure is a standard for all local moving companies. Unlike other moving companies though, Bonza Movers includes all additional services and supplies costs in the hourly quote and there are never hidden fees or additional charges. We strive hard every day to make sure there is clear and honest communication combined with high quality customer service and because of that we find this complaint to be very unfair. We were also very surprised to find customer's review on our *** page promoting another moving company and accusing us of taking advantage of a single woman (attached).

On the initial request that the customer sent, she mentioned a 2 bedrooms house and failed to disclose the actual size of her house (customer's request and BonzaMovers quote is attached). When we prepare our trucks and our crews for the move, we can only rely on the information provided by our customers and cannot be blamed for smaller size trucks if our customers don't include all the details of their move, especially the size of the house.

We did have to make sure all the customer's belongings were properly wrapped and protected because there was a very heavy rain on the day of ***'s move. It is our company's policy and our crews are instructed to take extra care of customers' belonging to avoid any damages during the move. Per ***'s study, moving a 3 bedroom house typically requires 4 movers and 6-9 hours of work total (https://www.***.com/p/moving-companies-prices). Our crew was able to complete the entire move with only 3 movers in 5 hrs and 45 minutes including disassembly/reassembly of the furniture which is a very reasonable amount of time for the size of this move.

Please also find the contract that *** had to initial to confirm the start and end times. The contract also clearly shows that *** was only charged for 5 hrs and 45 mins and not a penny more.

Again, all of us here at Bonza Movers work hard to make sure we are upfront, honest and open with our customers each and every time and that we provide the best moving services in the area. In case of ***'s move, we believe we delivered on our promises and provided great customer service at an affordable price, therefore we don't see a reasonable cause in this claim supporting a full or partial refund.

I am rejecting this response because:

This business has not supplied a sufficient reasoning as to why the amount of furniture moved equated close to $1000 worth of charges. The company and its owner have also failed to provide sufficient reasoning as to the total amount of hours taken to move items given the amount of manpower provided at the location. I sustain my complaints in that this business deceitfully and maliciously allowed workers to take their time moving items to the truck, in an effort to rack up the amount of time and charges the move would result in. I also contend that if I were a man and not a single woman, or had a man been present at the time of the move, I feel as though the outcome would have been different. It is my desire to stop this company and others like it, from taking advantage of women who may not have the manpower and/or materials needed to move furniture from one location to another. I hereby assert that this company willingly took advantage of my time and my money and I can only hope that no one else will fall victim to their deceit.
