Bookt entered into an agreement with me knowing in advance that they could not provide me this product and misled and misrepresented their service.This company has charged me for a product that they knew they could not provide. I contacted Bookt looking for a "Custom Website Design" which they had very clearly advertised on their website (www.bookt.com/‎) as being a product they provide. I spoke with a sales agent from Bookt for weeks and I very clearly described the website I wanted to have designed. The agent spoke very highly of his company (Bookt) and was clearly a great salesperson. I was very impressed with his assurance of my satisfaction. I asked for examples of websites they had designed for other clients. I was not impressed and could very clearly see that these were template-based websites, (NOT Custom Design) with very little appeal and "custom" features. I very clearly voiced my concern and explained once again my very specific design details and how I needed the ability to change the design myself once complete. I also described very specific features I wanted to have designed. 'Things-to-do", searchable features and back-end abilities. The agent of Bookt again explained that they "do" offer this service and that the websites he sent were of a previous version of their technology and in fact the new design team would be able to do "anything" I needed. He once again "promised" that I would be "100% satisfied with the custom design. " He sent me proofs and a proposal that once again went over their promise to client satisfaction. It is a great marketing piece. After speaking with the agent a couple more times, I was ready to move forward. Once I joined the Bookt Company, I was bombarded with spam emails. I got passed [redacted] one department to the next. I didn't know whom to contact or were to start. They told me to speak with one person who passed ** on to the next. I felt as if I was sold on a product and thrown to the wolves. Nonetheless, I finally started working with the design team after speaking with multiple people from which I never heard from again. The design team went back and forth a couple times and designed for me a picture of the home page, which we will call a proof. After a couple back and forth's I was happy with the look of the home page. The next step was production, which took a couple of weeks before we had anything we could see. They never called and asked about any other pages or features just plugged my home page into a template and called it a website. They sent me an email that said congratulations your custom website is complete. This was a shock! The website was a "Wordpress Template." The website had so many design issues it was embarrassing. How could anyone call this a completed website? Overlapping text, images overlapping, tiles un-evenly spaced, sideshows with bad transitions, header issues. I was at a loss for words. I made a call to the agent who I initially signed up with. He made a call and had the design team reach out to correct the issues. After weeks of back and forth and me calling to ask them to get the website corrected, I was exhausted. Each time I called they would pass ** around and the design team would say, "I thought your website was completed." Or I see that we have already completed your design. This is not what was agreed to and promised to me. I have not been sent any design files or source files. I have nothing. It states very clearly that I would be given the design files and that the design is mine to keep. I have nothing and have paid in full for a completed custom website. The customer service has been horrible and I have spent more time with this company then it would have taken me to design my own website. NOW, They want me to pay a $500 cancellation fee if I do not continue with their service. The website is not completed and they have told me that the features I want are "Not" possible. This is a classic bait and switch. Desired Settlement1. A forfeit of my monies paid; for a product they promised to deliver that I have not received. 2. Deliver the source files of the product paid for and cancel our agreement immediately with no penalty. (NO FEE)Business Response I apologize that you feel you have not received the type of product you wished for. Your Sales Manager went over our services, what we provide for clients, the different package avaialbe to Property Managers, what extra services can also be included in your solution, and more. The service you chose was the Standard package which is $99 a month and were then notified every month that the charge occured. This service provides you a vacation rental property management software as well as a customized wordpress site. Many companies employ and customize these sites on their own but our production team worked to create a custom site for you. Not only were all of these services made clear to you at the initial start of your solution but you also signed off on our InstaManager Agreement and were also given an FAQ Report to which goes over in more detail on what the soutions provide. We offered you $500 worth of Credits, plus support and solutions to try to get you live. We have been here to help you with all your questions and have aided you in changes and updates to your solution, website, and backend control panel. We are sorry that you feel that what you received was not what you wanted. Everyday we help hundreds of clients both large and small capitalize on leads and bookings to help grow their buisness. Our offer to help you do this and launch your site still stands if you are willing to work with us. I spoke with the sales manager on multiple occasions and went into depth about very specific design details and was extremely clear about what I wanted to purchase from your company. I wanted a custom designed website that was not only a vacation rental website but also a local guide. It very clearly at the top of the non-custom website you have started to build for me says LOCAL GUIDE. Where are the local guide details I was promised? I very specifically asked for features that were promised to me by the sales manager. After months of being mislead, I was told these features are not possible and that I will have to settle for what you can design for me. This is unacceptable. The contract you are referring to is for a service that I did not have access to. You never finished my website, it was never launched. I tried working with your staff to come to a solution for weeks. They all agree with me that the product I was promised is not what you provide. You and your staff are offering me $500 credit towards a product that I do not want and did not purchase. I need a fully custom website with very specific features that YOUR sales manager told be could be done. This is why I entered into a contract for the service. The service was not suppose to start until after you launched my website. Again, agreed to by your staff. You never finished the design of my custom website. To this date I do not have a finished website. After 10 months. You have not sent me any design files, which is also in your contract. You cancelled my account without written notice or consent. You sent me a final bill and attempted to charged my account without my knowledge for the $500 cancellation fee. I tried calling your office on multiple occasions and my calls were all ignored, by every department. My family members called and were hang up on after they found out they were calling in regards to my account. I have emails from your staff acknowledging this fact. I also have witnesses of these events. I do not feel as if I was mislead, I was mislead. You are not willing to work with me but only to force me to work with you.This is unethical business practice. I have never in my life had my phone calls screened and ignored by a company. Let alone a company that I was paying for their service.
