I talked with [redacted] about her invoice for the service work that was completedShe had called to complain while I was outI reviewed her invoice before calling her backThe Journeyman Electrician did furnish and install (5) GFCI receptacle outletsCode requires all kitchen countertop outlets to be GFCI protectedThe existing wiring required a GFCI outlet to be installed in a location on the counter top that [redacted] at first refused to be installedThe Journeyman Electrician took allot of time explaining to her options, she said I don’t care about codes this is my houseMore time was spent showing her the code article and a sketch / drawing showing her how the existing cables are wired behind the walls from outlet to outletShe also refused a GFCI circuit breaker option(Five GFCI at minutes each = hours)She requested the Journeyman Electrician to repair a fluorescent light fixtureThis required a parts supply run for the electronic ballast [redacted] never mentioned this scope of work while scheduling the service call(Replace ballast minutes, parts run minutes = hour) [redacted] requested the exterior patio light fixtures to be repairedThe Journeyman Electrician removed the motion light and tested the existing home power that tested goodThe Journeyman Electrician told [redacted] she needs a new motion light, that we do not repair this this type of disposable lightShe said she will replace it later to reinstall it(Trouble-shoot patio light = minutes) (We charge for drive time to the job site = minutes) (We charge for set up, clean up and filling out paper the paper work while on the job = minutes) I called [redacted] to hear what she had to say, after she was done explaining her thoughts I told her if I added up the estimated time for the work that was done it came to hoursI offered to reduce the invoice to hours, [redacted] said yelling that this was an insult I will pay the full amount and never call you again I started working for Boones Ferry Electric, Inc in and now the Vice PresidentI’m open to do what you think is fair and keep the Company record cleanI paid the Journeyman Electrician employee for his time and he got the paper work signed
