I purchased a product from Bootstrap and after changing to a new PC they are nowhere around to help transfer the software. It has been over 2 months since my request for help was made and I have gotten no reply . They also are using a BBB logo when their status with the BBB has been revoked.

As outlined in my original response, not only was this not a surprise ( the auto renewal infois on the shopping cart, there is a recap and a link to cancel in the original confirmation email, reminders were sent, renewal confirmation emails were sent immideately after My commerce renewed.-- none of it was anywhere near twenty pages ( one page in some cases it might flow onto two pages) I even exchanged an email with Mr*** on 11/13/and offered to cancel all renewals for him
Mr*** never responded or do anything about it until now
Since Mr*** requests "I want ALL charges since the beginning of time that they EVER charged this account refunded "
he could resolve this by having his bank issue a Chargeback
At that point this will be settled between his bank and the retail order processor ( Regncommerce/digital river)

I ran a thorough search looking for any emails from *** and found two
Ticket Number 191-1BF824B7-810F, dated: 11/13/
The email stated:
11/13/7:PM - *** ***
Subject: What did I buy?
And when did I buy it?
Sent from my
iPhone
( **NOTE** Mr*** provided no order number, or any other reference)
At 8:PM ( 1Hour and Minutes later we responded with the following:
Subject:What did I buy?
*** ***
Without some reference I can't be absolutely sure, but I assume you are referring to the notices from Regnow--My commerce/Digital River, regarding order id:39DG7G4-AGHZXS
As you may recall, when you purchased Mediawidget from Regnow ( MY Commerce/Digital River International) there was an auto renewal option attached
Not only was this discussed on Regnow's shopping cart , the information was repeated in the confirmation email they sent right after the purchase
Along with your activation code etc, the confirmation email you received from Regnow, would have had information regarding the auto renewal program and a link to cancel at any time
In addition, about days before any order is due to auto renew, a reminder is sent by the vendor Regnow, with cancellation options etc ( sent to the email used at time of original purchase-- ***)
Essentially, the update and support period for mediawidget ends on November 6th
Because there is an auto renew option attached, Regnow would have sent a day reminder, with cancellation options, which you should have received around October 6th
If you renew, updates and support continues for another year
If you do not renew, updates and support ends
Since the auto renewal was not canceled within the days, Regnow began trying to renew ( tried and failed twice---11/6/& 11/13/2014)
After each failed renewal attempt, they would sent a renewal failure notice, asking you to update your info-- Basically asking you to either officially cancel the auto renewal, or update your info
If you do want to renew, follow the instructions they sent
If you do not want to renew, let me know and I will cancel it for you
** You can also cancel by going to their order look up site ( link on the email they sent) and cancelling
***
There was no additional response from ***.,
If he responded using a different email address, we would have no way of knowing unless he provided some reference
Since Mr*** did nothing to cancel the auto renewal, the retailer's ( regncommerce/digital river International) computers attempted to renew and failed on four different occasions in
After each failed renewal attempt, their computers sent an auto generated renewal failure notice to ***
The failure notices asks the client to please update their info, so the renewal will complete
( Basicaly it's a nice way of asking clients to either cancel so they can be taken off the books, or allow the renewl to go through.)
As far as I can tell, there was no response from ***
THERE WAS NO RENEWAL IN
________________________________________________________________________________... /> The second email dated: 12/29/2015, Ticket Number175-1E158CEB-CBC3, Email ***
Subject: Your subscription order has been cancelled
Give me back my money - all of it! I never authorized ANY charges
From: Bootstrap Development
Sent: Tuesday, December 29, 10:AM

Subject: Your subscription order has been cancelled
Since Mr*** *** had never cancelled the auto renewal, a day renewal reminder was sent this year ( november 6th)
Mr*** still did not cancel, and this time Regnow's auto renewal attempt succeeded on december 5th
Right after the renewal on december 5th, they sent an auto generated renewal confirmation to ***
On December 29th, Mr*** *** contacted Regnow ( MY Commerce/Digital River International) and they cancelled alll future renewals of this order
The auto renewal option attached to this order has been removed/ disabled
The vendor (Regnow - MY Commerce/Digital River) will not renew this order again
A refund order has been issued to the vendor (Regnow), for the renewal (order id:3D86JCP-AALADC)
Regnow will issue a refund back to his credit card
All updates and support for this order has ended and can can neverbe renewed

Mr. [redacted], I have reviewed our order system and can find no orders with the email address [redacted]I can find 3 orders from a [redacted] with the email [redacted] and the same phone number you list above.I do not see any orders form 2005 in our system associated...

with your name.I show your original order occurred on December 26, 2011 at 11:01:07 AM for $29.99 - at which time you agreed to an annual maintenance subscription. At that time you agreed to the following text:Auto Renewal Service:By clicking the button below and completing your purchase, you expressly authorize and permit [redacted] to automatically renew your purchased license or subscription for successive renewal terms each equal in length to the initial term specified in your cart, at the purchase price for your initial term (plus taxes and fees, less any applicable discounts) using the payment information you provided for your initial purchase, until you cancel. At least one email will be sent to you to remind you of each upcoming renewal. We may change the renewal price as of the next renewal date if we provide you with prior notice of the change by email (you can elect to cancel automatic renewal as described below if you do not agree to the change). The [redacted] Terms of Sale and Privacy Policy will apply to each renewal transaction. You may cancel future renewals at any time by logging into the account interface (access information will be included in your order confirmation email or on the Customer Service Help page), selecting your product, and selecting the option to cancel future renewals. you would have gotten a confirmation email reminding you that you agreed to this at the time of purchase. You would have gotten a reminder each year 30 days prior to the auto renewal with cancellation instructionsyou would have also gotten a confirmation email after each auto-renewal with cancellation and refund instructions. You successfully auto renewed each year through 12-26-2017 with one exception.  in 2013 your card was unable to be charged due to over limit, and the billing system"reprocess" queen you for reprocess and failed to complete this. Actions I have taken:- I have cancelled your subscription- I have refunded your most current charge.- I have refunded your 2016 subscription renewal- I have refunded your 2015 subscription renewal- I have refunded your 2014 subscription renewal This is a refund of your half of your renewals. You also continue to have full use of the software through 12/26/2018I believe that this I a fair resolution to your request. ThanksBootstrap Team
