I am rejecting this response because:Boarder Diesel Service is grabbing at straws by saying we are not working when in fact we are working and are unable to bring the truck back to eagle Pass, TX. We no longer run freight in the Eagle Pass, TX area out company has moved us to a different area. We have since had to have the repairs madeThis business owner apparently is not aware that the problem with the transmission is a DOT violation which results in shutting the semi down immediately. This owner is asking us to absorb a huge expense to have the semi towed to him for repairsIt is really in the best of the company to make good on the expense. I have attached the invoices to show what work was performed where and what the cause was.The owner keeps saying that everything was checked which is not trueIf it was checked we would not be having the issues of missing and loose bolts on the transmission. My original complaint stands and the request for reimbursement stands as well. The proof of our complainant is in the invoices attached. A good business owners makes good. Do we understand that he wants us to bring the vehicle back yes we do, however when we are not running freight in that area no longer it makes it very difficult to returnThe business owner should work with the client which is good business practiceTye business owner is not and has not tried to work with usIt always results in filing a complainant The company we are leased with has moved us to a different area to deliver freight. This business owner should also understand in the trucking business to just drive there we would lose money which is not good business on our end or to who we are leased to not including the time down. It is also unreasonable to ask us to tow the vehicle back to their shop and absorb a tow bill both directions costing more than $2,not including the tow truck driver down time. It is in the best interest of this business to pay the $which is considerable less than towing the semi to their shop We are asking to have the additional out of pocket expense paid of $to resolve this matter which is the best business practice for all in the long run. We told the customer that we didn't have that part in stock, We did let him know that it was better for...

him to install a  a new differential housing, he stated that he was in a hurry, that he needed to deliver his load. We told him that this kind of work takes 3 to 4 days to finish., We offer him a "used" housing but with no guarantee, at that time he accepted that we install the "used" housing so we went ahead and install it. Everything went smoothly and the truck perform correctly when finish. We perform  a road test and everything was ok.   The customer leave the next day and  and we ask him to call us and let us know  how the truck was going  but The customer called stating that the truck was going smoothly, but that the he notice  an oil leak, so we went ahead and ask the customer to stop that we were going to send a tow truck for them to bring th truck back to us and fix the problem, so we went ahead and change the wheel seal, because at that time that was the problem, the rest of the repair was ok.  So far everything was ok the customer was happy that he could go ahead and follow his trip back to California. When he got to California he called and  told us that the truck   was leaking oil but know from the housing. He took the truck to a mechanic and the mechanic told him that the problem was the housing. When the customer was in our shop he did know that the differential housing was "used" but in good condition. and he accepted for us to install it. He was in a hurry. We did talked to him and we did let him know that he accepted  the used differential housing. We are a company that has been in business for more than 40 years, and we had never had any problems with our customers. This is not the first time we do this kind of repairs. We did inform the customer with good knowledge that it was better for him to repair the problem with a new differential housing, but as we stated earlier , he was in a hurry so he accepted and decided to put the used housing. I am rejecting this response because:
Boarder Diesel Service is grabbing at straws by saying we are not working when in fact we are working and are unable to bring the truck back to eagle Pass, TX.  We no longer run freight in the Eagle Pass, TX area out company has moved us to a different area.  We have since had to have the repairs made. This business owner apparently is not aware that the problem with the transmission is a DOT violation which  results in shutting the semi down immediately.  This owner is asking us to absorb a huge expense to have the semi towed to him for repairs. It is really in the best of the company to make good on the  expense.
I have attached the invoices to show what work was performed where and what the cause was.
The owner keeps saying that everything was checked which is not true. If it was checked we would not be having the issues of missing and loose bolts on the transmission.
My original complaint stands and the request for reimbursement stands as well.  The proof of our complainant is in the invoices attached.   A good business owners makes good.  Do we understand that he wants us to bring the vehicle back yes we do, however when we are not running freight in that area no longer it makes it very difficult to return. The business owner should work with the client which is good business practice. Tye business owner is not and has not tried to work with us. It always results in filing a complainant.   The company we are leased with has moved us to a different area to deliver freight.  This business owner should also understand in the trucking business  to just drive there we would lose money which is not good business on our end or to who we are leased to not including the time  down.  It is also unreasonable to ask us to tow the vehicle back to their shop and absorb a tow bill both directions costing more than $2,500.00 not including the tow truck driver down time.
It is in the best interest of this business to pay the $155.40 which is considerable less than towing the semi to their shop.
We are asking to have the additional out of pocket expense paid of $155.40 to resolve this matter which is the best business practice for all in the long run.
