Complaint[redacted] from Border magic is not honoring the warranty.Hello,In 04/16/2012 [redacted] from Border Magic made borders for my flower beds. My invoice # is [redacted] and my 10 years warranty # is [redacted]. I have been calling [redacted] since May to honor the warranty. The warranty states that it covers cracking, fading and peeling. The flower bed edging cracked in two areas. [redacted] promised several times over the phone that he will call me back to make an appointment. He showed up on my house sometimes in June without an appointment since he was working on a job nearby, he promised that he will be back at the end of that day to fix the cracks and he also gave me a quote on a new border edging that I am interested in. [redacted] did not show up and I have not heard from him since.I have been calling him and I left several messages without answers. Desired SettlementI would like [redacted] to honor the warranty and fix the cracks. We would like to take this opportunity to respond to [redacted] complaint against our franchisee [redacted] based in North Carolina. We spoke with [redacted] just today regarding this complaint and looked up our warranty file for warranty number [redacted]. This warranty is filed for the address given by [redacted] in the complaint. However, the original warranty was issued to a [redacted] who seems to be the prior owner of the home. [redacted] confirmed these findings. Our 10 Year Limited Warranty provisions clearly state that the warranty is NOT transferrable to any other person or entity. However, [redacted] always takes care of his customers, even when they're not as in this case, and explained to [redacted] that despite him not having a valid warranty, he would be happy to take care of his concerns when he would be nearby as [redacted] is a solid hours drive away. [redacted] needs to understand that [redacted] is going above and beyond the warranty provisions for him as he has NO valid warranty at this time. Despite this complaint and several phone calls, [redacted] is still willing to assist. This is why we see a lot of high marks from [redacted]'s customer surveys as he routinely goes above and beyond protocol for his customers. We hope that you can get [redacted] to understand this as [redacted] has been unable to so far. [redacted] ended our conversation by informing us that [redacted] has been calling him numerous times and is becoming disruptive to [redacted]'s daily schedule. Please explain to [redacted] that he has no warranty and if he would like [redacted] to go above and beyond for him, that he needs to be patient as [redacted] will be happy to go that extra mile for him when he's in the area, the weather is favorable, and has time in his schedule.
