We do not agree with the response from Border's attorneyThe animal was in a pen with another
animal that was butchered weeks after the animal that was at BordersIt was processed in a timely manner and the meat is deliciousThe way the animal was fed was NOT the issue hereThe animal was eating and was totally ambulatory and had no problem walking out to their person who put it downTheir person made no comment whatsoever that he had any concerns about the animalWe have talked to different processors regarding the length of time this animal was left to hang and they were appalledAlso it was mentioned, that for the weight of the animal, it would have been totally inappropriate to hang this animal anything over weeks and that any processor should know thatWhen we had spoken with Borders they had admitted that they were covered up with animals needing processedThey over bookedIf they could not have processed this animal in a timely manner, they should have never accepted the jobThey have been negligentWe have fed cattle for years and have used various processors over the years and have never had an animal hang over weeks before being processedPerhaps the report shows no contamination, but it cannot be disputed that the smell was offensive and smelled of moldWho would want to eat moldy tasting meat? Had this animal been processed elsewhere we have no doubt that we would have been able to eat the meatw
