July 20, 2016On 7/7/16 customer had Borked PC order a laptop to replace nonfunctioning laptop. We settled on a model based on what my distributor had in stock. It was to be an [redacted] with a touchscreen. The laptop was ordered and arrived a couple of days later. I then proceeded to update and configure...

the new laptop. Once it was done we contacted the client and informed her that it was ready for pick up. Client picked up the laptop on 7/11/16 at 2:15pm. On 7/11/16 at 7:03pm the customer left a voicemail stating they could not install a printer. On 7/11/16 at 7:09pm the customer left another voicemail stating the laptop was not a touchscreen as she requested. The calls were placed after normal business hours and the messages were not heard until the next morning. On 7/12/16 approximately at 10am, Dana S[redacted], Borked PC's President, returned the customer's call and apologized about the lack of touchscreen and that we would contact our distributor and have them correct the error. This was to happen immediately but the customer refused the offer and any other attempt to correct the situation. Customer then stated she already placed a stop payment on the check that was deposited on 7/12/16. Also the customer stated she would not return the laptop without Borked PC paying her $33 service fee which could have been avoided if Borked PC gave her a full refund. By placing a stop payment on the check, the customer would receive a $33 bank charge and Borked PC would receive a $20 bounced check fee.If the customer wanted a full refund we would have gladly given it to her, as this would not incur any fees on both ends. On 7/12/16 at 11:41am customer came in and refused to return the laptop unless we paid the $33 bank charge. Scott S[redacted] stated that we would have been happy to refund the amount for the laptop, but since she decided to do the stop payment without first attempting to work with us, we would not give her the $33. If she returned the laptop, we would not go after her for the $20 we incurred as a result of her stop payment. At this point the customer refused to return it without us paying $33. At which point Scott informed her that the laptop was not hers any longer due to the stop payment and it needed to be returned immediately. If she refused, we would be forced to file a police report for stolen property. The customer still refused to return the laptop. At this point Scott went to his desk to call the Bangor Police Department. It was at this point that the customer finally said she would return the laptop. The laptop was returned to Scott and it was given a visual inspection. It was then booted up and Scott deleted clients browsing data while the customer watched. After this was done it was put on our bench for a full data wipe.In summary all efforts to work with the customer was met with refusal to remedy the situation. We made every reasonable attempt to correct the error with the laptop.Sincerely,Dana S.Borked PC, President

they did toman
Regards,
[redacted] I don't see any resolution to this problem. All they did was repeat what I already said.  They said I didn't give them a chance to fix there "mistake" but they had to many things wrong for me to trust them. ( Didn't have several features I was promised, but most of all I very mush believe it was a refurbished model.)
