As per our conversation today, I was browsing on the internet and came across this complaint that was filed and I was not aware of this from ? Here is a recap of this customer? B [redacted] Construction Co LLC completed a sidewalk job for Mrs [redacted] ? [redacted] in ? We had also completed sealing jobs for her, some listed below? In 2013, job details: ? sealing, ? cost $100.00, job completed November 23,2013In 2014, job details: ? sealing, ? cost $100.00, job completed November 21, 2014In 2015, job details: ? sealing and caulk joint, cost $110.00, job was sealed on October 2, ? (keep in mind $was charged to caulk the joint)Here are the details of what transpired on this jobThe sealing was completed on October 2, ? Tony was out on another ? job and Mrs [redacted] was told that he would get there ASAP to caulk the joint? Although the sealing job was completed, she was not happy that a week later he was not able to come out? We had usually completed her sealing jobs in November in previous years? In 2015, we did the sealing in October for her and told her that he would be out soon? She indicated that she is not paying for the job? We had discussed this situation with her and told her that the sealing was complete ($cost) and that the caulking of the joint ($10.00) would be done soon? She stated that she did not care, insisted that Tony come back to complete the caulking of the joint and also that she is not paying for this job? ? We did not go back to caulk the joint after she indicated that she is not paying for the work? As you can see above, every year we charged $for sealing only? He had a joint to caulk and was charging $10.00, discounted price? I am sure you can understand that after the majority of the work was already completed and the customer flat out tells you they are not paying for the job, we are already at a loss? The caulking of the joint was not completed ($charge) and she was ok with our company sealing for free? We lost $? ? I am asking that this unfair complaint be removed or updated to state the correct facts? We did not pursue legal action against her for her outstanding invoice and as she indicated she had no intentions of paying? If you need any additional information , please feel free to contact me.Thank you for taking the time to send this over to me to complete.Have a great day!Michele B [redacted]

This is in response to the message from Michele B*** dated March 29,2017. I tried several times to contact Tony about finishing a job he, as the owner, was to do in Oct2015. I did not receive a response either by phone or emailIn the email to Tony I stated the bill was waiting to be paid. I do have a copy of the email if needed. I received a bill that included the caulking for a total of $110.00. Since I did not receive a response I felt I had no other course but to file a complaint with the Revdex.comIn the complaint I stated my desired resolution and outcome was to have the job completed. There was no disputed amount in the complaint that I filedI know I did and still owe the money. No one from B*** replied to the Revdex.com or myselfI was surprised that the complaint was found by browsing the internetI do not know who is responsible for answering consumers complaints. I am extremely disappointed and disillusioned with B***. Information about other sealing jobs have nothing to do with the complaint. Each time before OctI sent payment when I received a bill. I am wondering why a company who is owed money lets a bill go unpaid? My questions to B***. What would you have done in my position? Would you have sent payment for a job not done? How would you feel if no one returned your calls or emails? The caulking is still unfinished and the sidewalk needs resealed again. Tony is welcome to complete the job and reseal the sidewalk again. I will gladly give him cash or a check. If he is still not interested in finishing the job from almost 1/years ago send me a new bill for $and I will send a check. My complaint is fair and justified. Thank you for your time, *** ***

Review: The following summarizes the issues as I communicated to the company. The owner is aware of the issue:Mr Borrasso, As we have told you over the phone, and you have seen for yourself, our driveway has 2 large cracks (across entire slabs). This occurred after less than 6 months. I understand the nature of concrete and it will crack when put into tensile stress. I also understand that you try your best to put in a driveway which will satisfy your customer and that you run a good business. However, I am very frustrated over your inability to respond to phone calls and help us out with this. So I will also take the opportunity to let you know some other items which I was dissatisfied with, but sucked up and accepted. The crack in the slabs resulted from inadequate structure beneath the slabs. You misjudged something, it happens, we all make mistakes and I appreciate how difficult it may have been to get this right. What really matters is whether you feel any responsibility to help us do the right things going forward so these cracks do not become worse than they need to be. Ideally, the slabs or portions of the slabs would be cut out, the back-fill improved and then repaired with a seam in the area that is prone to cracking. If I wanted to get this done will you be willing to do the work. I would not expect it for free, but would like to negotiate a reasonable fair price. I understand I will have cracking over time, things will settle, but this is different. This is a direct result of your mistake. If you have alternative suggestions I would like to discuss them. Honestly, trying to squeeze some caulking into those cracks is not what I consider a good alternative. The cracks are too narrow and the joint will open up with the slightest deformation letting in moisture and further cracking the location with freezing and thawing.Desired Settlement: As stated in the description, I would like assistance from the company in taking care of the cracked driveway.

Response:

In response to the complaint filed by David [redacted] let me start by saying the Driveway was installed proper to code. Mr. & Mrs [redacted] had contacted me in the Spring of 2013 at which time I spoke to Mrs, [redacted] and told her I would stop and look at the Driveway. I went and saw they had two (2) cracks in pads by the garage door. I called and discussed that there were no guarantees for cracks, as I stated on the contract, so they were aware of this but, I told Mrs. [redacted] that I would be glad to grind and caulk the cracks at my expense. Mrs. [redacted] agreed to that so I had put on my schedule to complete. As we are all aware, there was extensive rain this summer so it became difficult to schedule the repair. After sometime Mr. [redacted] had called my office and sent letter to me referring to the cracks and had left a cell number for me to contact him. I had left several messages for him and received no response. On September 23, 2013 @ 2.01PM I received a text message from a friend of Mr, [redacted]’s (who was a previous customer of mine). The message was harassing and unprofessional. It was telling me that I didn't know how to do base work because the concrete had cracks, Mr, & Mrs. [redacted]’s driveway is very large and if the base was done incorrectly then all of it would have cracked, not just two (2) pads. I do not manufacture the product I only install it. There are no contractors that guarantee concrete from cracking, there are too many factors involved. The control joints and expansion joints were all installed well within engineering specs. With this being said, I did not appreciate the harassing text messages from his friend. My question is why did Mr. [redacted] text me instead? I would be more than willing to settle this matter by grinding and caulking the two (2) cracks at my expense. Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] were very nice people to work for and I do feel very bad this has happened but, on the contract they signed with me clearly stated that Borrasso Construction Co., LLC cannot guarantee concrete from color variation, spalling, cracking or settlement. I have also enclosed a copy of the signed contract for your reference. Thank you. Sincerely, [redacted] Borrasso Construction Co., LLC

Review: I had my sidewalks sealed after several calls to Borrasso Construction. When the sidewalks were done on Oct. 2 the workers said Tony, the owner, would be out personally to do the joint caulking that I also requested. The week that the job should have been done was Oct. 5. Tony never showed to do the work. I called him the following week and was told that he was "slammed" but would do the job. I e-mailed him Nov. 1 stating I was disappointed that the job was never completed. Today is Nov. 15 and still no follow-up or correspondence from Tony. I received a bill for both jobs that is still waiting to be paid.Desired Settlement: finish the job as personally stated
