Review: My boyfriend needed the sleeves shortened on two suit jackets, so we brought them to Bosco & Barraza. The tailor told him that there were two options for shortening the sleeves: taking them up from the bottom for about $40 each, or taking them up from the shoulder for $90 each. Not knowing anything about tailoring, my boyfriend told the tailor that if he could do it for $40, he would take that option.When he picked up the suits, the were much too short, about 3/4 length sleeves, and the buttons were sloppily hanging off the end of the sleeves. Since the jackets were totally unwearable, he brought them back to see if they could be fixed.When the tailor saw the jackets, he admitted that they looked terrible. He also admitted that most people who get that alteration are unhappy and come back to complain. Although it is obvious that he should not continue to do an alteration that ruins many customers' expensive clothing, he merely said repeatedly, "It's not my problem". We asked him to fix the jackets, but he had already cut the sleeves off so they could not be let out. As he openly admitted to ruining two brand new suit jackets, I asked if he could do anything to fix them or cover the cost, and he refused. After finally realizing that the situation could not be fixed, I asked him to just refund the amount he charged us to ruin the suits, since he admitted that the tailoring was not good and the suits were not wearable. He would not even do this.After leaving the store, we stopped by [redacted], where the suits were purchased and where they had recommended we go to Bosco & Barraza for alterations. The told us they had already stopped using Bosco & Barraza because they had many similar complaints.Despite admitting to being in the wrong, this tailor treated me incredibly disrespectfully and operated his business in a dishonest and unprofessional manner.Desired Settlement: I believe the tailor should cover the cost of the suit jackets, as well as the amount he charted for the "tailoring".
